05: Did you take writing courses in school/college?No, I didn’t though I do wish that I did now. The most that I did was do some writing challenge in high school but I wrote in Italian.

11: What’s your favorite book cover?Hmm…tough one. I like a lot of book covers but I really like the one of Memoirs of a Geisha. There’s something about her eyes that convey strength and sadness altogether.

2. What is your favorite snippet of dialogue?

Oh, man.  That’s not the sort of thing writers have one favorite of, right?  But I’m gonna go with the botched proposal at the end of AFTUMS because of Mama Fitz eavesdropping.

“At least look at the ring first.” Oh, lord. His sense of competition was out of control. Fitz held up a postponing index finger, and she sighed.

He was already banging his fist on the wall, shouting, “Mum! Have you still got Nan’s ring? I need it!”

Lorna Fitz’s voice came barrelling back through the wall. “Leo, y’ precocious thing, did ye propose? Jemma, love, welcome t’ the family!”

“No, she said she wants to live together first!” Fitz gestured to the wall in affront.

“Och, well y’ know how the Church feels about cohabitation, dear.”

Fitz turned to her and spread his hands victoriously. “God’s on my side, Jemma.”

“You can’t be serious! You don’t even go to chu-”

“But ye cannae jus’ ask the lass t’ marry ye like that without givin’ her time t’ take a breath!”

Jemma stabbed a finger in the other bedroom’s direction. “See? Too soon. Your mother agrees with me.”

“Aye, ‘course I do, hen! Ye’ve got a good head on yer shoulders.”

“Thank you, Lorna!”

“Mum, what the Hell?”

“Leopold Fitz, you watch your language!”

He gritted his teeth. “Sorry!”

“And in front of yer lady friend, for goodness’ sake! It’s no wonder she doesn’t want t’ marry ye!”

9. What’s the fic you like the least?

Yeeesh.  There are parts of every fic that I dislike (and parts of every fic I like).  It’d probably be one of my early ones, like Interlopers, because it was just sort of ho-hum and there was no romance or anything and when I re-read my earliest stuff I tend to cringe.  But then, most recently, I was ugh-ing at the heavyhanded tone of If, a love triangle drabble in my small fics collection.  And everyone has those fics that receive so little response that you’re just like BUT WHY DID I SPEND MY TIIIIIME *tears at hair, goes to cry in corner* (even though, I gotta say, I’m incredibly lucky in that regard and I have awesome commenty friends).

So, blargh.  It would depend what day you caught me on, but safe answer – the earliest ones.

but, things have settled down a teensy bit, so it’s really nice to be able to enjoy a few AO3′s here and there instead of having to squint at my phone and speed-read smut at the pediatrician’s office or whatever
