Arequipa is a beauiful city, and though extremly tourist oriented, the spanish colonial architechure of the main plaza was fantastic. We toured through several ancient convents where women are still practicing to this day, and we got to see the famous mummy "Huanita". Huanita was a Incan child sacrfice found in the famous Volcano "Mt. Misti". Arequipa is located at the foot of the now dormant volcano, and views of the mountain were magnificent while we were there.
