The letter came in the mail the day before, postmarked nearly 2 sweeps ago. You don’t remember writing it, but there’s no doubt it was you and stranger still is what it says inside… On a scrap of paper, tucked neatly into an envelope, your own hand writing sits, waiting for you to read it…
This is probably the strangest thing I, or in this case, we have ever done. I’m not sure why I’m doing it in the first place, but something about it seemed somewhat intriguing to say the least. I know it’s impossible to speak to the past, but perhaps reading it in the future will help me see just how far I’ve come. Hard to say…but here goes nothing.
I just wanted to tell you that things are going to be better than you might have expected. Nothing too out there, but what you’re doing now is exactly what you need to keep doing to make it here. There will be some troubles along the way, but we both know how well you do in tough situations. Keep that motivation with you and finding your way out wont be any trouble at all.
Just remember to think before you act. Not that you ever do otherwise (trust me, I know) but it will be more important than anything later on. Even when everyone else is jumping in, don’t let yourself get ahead of your own intuition…
I think that’s all I have to say at this point. Maybe someday, through some strange force of time, this letter will reach you…and if it does, I hope you’re doing well.
