In a field of daisies stands a statue in the shape of a color pencil. On the top of the statue is a single yellow and purple pansy. Sitting against the statue, Areixyn is drawing on a field sketch board. Not far away, Metsys stands and looks at aer.
The paper Areixyn is drawing on has an unfinished sketch of a smiling girl. Metsys looks closely at Areixyn.
“What's the point of this?”
Areixyn laughs. “Mets, you should know me better than to ask me what the point of things are, shouldn't you?”
“I know,” Metsys says, “But every time you're here you feel slightly different. And I don't understand why.”
“Well, bold of you to assume that I know why.” Areixyn starts lining the artwork. “Maybe I just want some day to commemorate my dead child self, you know?”
“From what little I know about humans, humans don't tend to do that.”
“Come on, people remember anniversaries of traumatic events too. Well, some do.”
“Did something traumatic happen today?”
Areixyn’s hand pauses. “Hm. Maybe.”
“Maybe I remember it so clearly that I can tell you what day it was. Or maybe I’ve blocked out the memories and just randomly picked a date. Maybe there even isn't a date of death because it was a drawn out process.”
“But eh, who cares? Poemu’s birthday is May 19th because I say so.” Areixyn pokes at the paper with a painting brush.
“Does drawing her every year make you feel better?”
Ae considers for a moment. “It's something I do, alright.”
“Why?” “Why not?”
Metsys sits down in between the flowers. “…I don't have a counter argument.”
“Hm.” Areixyn continues to color the drawing.
A moment passes in silence. Metsys looks at the sun, forever in a golden sunrise.
“Done!” Areixyn sets down the sketch board and creates two plates of cake. “Now we can enjoy the cake!”
“Fruit cake. As always,” Metsys comments and takes a plate.
“It's the classic birthday cake! With the classic pudding too!” Areixyn takes a bite of the cake.
“Does this imply that you had tasted a birthday cake at least some time in your life in Tricos?”
“Come on, it could have been some kid who decided to share a cake with everyone, you know? Or a kind teacher. Or some ad, I don't know.”
happy birthday to Poemu :D
(shh it's still midnight so it still counts as the 19th)
fun fact i originally planned this to be a comic. needless to say after drawing so many daisies (and then blurring them) i do not want to do that again /lh
if you don't click the image for better quality i will cry (jk but still i spent so much time please

Noxeris is the reality we reside in. There are different realities, and Noxeris is the one where my characters and I exist.
Fun fact: I call the reality you live in Tricos!
Universes
In Noxeris, there are different universes. Universes are where most stories happen.
As of right now, there are two universes you can learn about: Summermist Academy and Project RE, but there will be more to come. I hope you look forward to them~
The Lobby
The Lobby is the place where you, and all the other stargazers, have access to!
In general, you don't exactly have access to the universes themselves — you see them through the Lobby.
You are free to envision this place as anything you want. The default, or my version, is a library, but it could be anything else — a hall with windows and mirrors showing different scenes, a collection of little planets, or, well, I guess you could also just see it as a Tumblr blog.
The hourglass allows you to read all the content in a chronological order. (It doesn't work on mobile though, sadly.)
The mailbox lets you send stuff to both me and all the other characters. Generally, anything’s good as long as I can tell what character a letter is for, but I do have the ability to direct your letters to another character, including me, if I think it's better for them to answer.
Tags
☆ Noxeris
Basically means “my post.”
Fun fact: the hourglass is actually just posts tagged with Noxeris, but with a “/chrono” at the end of the URL. This trick also works for the other tags, if you want to read the posts in that tag chronologically.
☆ Universe Tags
These tell you what universe the post is set in.
There's a special universe tag — nowhere. This tag is used for characters like me, who do not belong to any universe.
☆ Character Tags
Usually formatted as character name, followed by a “universe code.” Summermist Academy is “sma,” Project RE is “re.” As for people like me, since we're “nowhere,” there also isn't a universe code.
Sometimes not everyone who appears in a post is tagged. My logic is basically “would you want to see this post if you're scrolling in their tag looking for them specifically,” and “does this post contain important information about them.” Though if you think a post is tagged inappropriately, feel free to tell me!
☆ Post Types: Media
These tags indicate the type(s) of media of a post. If the post is not a work, then there will be no such tag.
.txt — writing
.png — drawing
.mp4 — animation or other video
☆ Post Types: Reblogs
copy — A self reblog.
facsimile — A reblog from someone else.
☆ Post Types: Content Type Tags
Archival Records — They are like the “main storyline” — basically, posts where most of the story is. In a sense, they're a complete, full snippet of the story. It could be a short story, a comic, an illustration with some dialogue — but the point is, it's a complete snippet.
Document Fragments — They are also part of the story, but they tell stories less directly. Lines of dialogue with no clear speaker, snippets of a document file, or maybe an old photo. Document fragments also contain important information, though you might need to decipher it. That's why poems and trailers also count as document fragments, since they might only make sense in the future.
Reference Sheets — Actual reference sheets, but also posts with little to no story that still contain important information. A drawing of a character’s scars, a map of a place, or a timeline of events, they all count as references sheets. If an ask involves information that I deem important, it might also be tagged as a reference sheet.
Loose leaves — Basically stuff that aren't a part of the story. Usually, anyway. Things like posts purely for celebrations, or just things that I’ve made for fun. Sometimes it's also my way of saying “this probably didn't happen.” Canonicity is generally in a state of “I’m not saying this happened for sure, but it could, and if it did this is how it would likely go,” like an imagined scenario or an alternate timeline. Or you could just take everything in loose leaves with a grain of salt.
Answer Sheets — The tag for asks.
Author’s Notes — Posts that only consist of me saying something. Could be important announcements, but also could just be rambling or random thoughts.
Now that you know the basics of how Noxeris and the Lobby work, have fun and enjoy your stay! May your dreams be starry and your reality be sugary ☆
(You find yourself somewhere unfamiliar. You were simply reading a post just now, weren't you? Where is this place?)
(Before you come up with more questions, a person appears in front of you. Their hair is white with purple at the ends, and they’re wearing a hairclip with a veil that covers half of their face. They smile brightly at you.)
The phantom of dreamful nights greets you with passion, dear stargazer! I am Areixyn, pronouns are ae, they, or xe. I am the creator of this place, and welcome to Noxeris!
…Hmm, You seem somewhat lost. Well, fret not, for that is exactly why I’m here — I shall be your guide for today!
Ah, before we start, have this.
(A pamphlet is given to you.)
This has everything I’m going to cover. Well, ok, I might add some extra information in this tour, but the most important information is all in here. If you're in a rush — or if you just don't want to listen to me rambling, I guess — reading this would suffice! This does get a little — ok, I’ll admit, quite — long, so I don't blame you if you just want to get straight to the point.
Oh, I suppose I should start with what Noxeris even is.
Noxeris is the reality we reside in. You see, there are different realities, and Noxeris is the one where my characters, and I, exist. By the way, I call the reality you live in Tricos.
There's a reason I don't say “universe” — because in Noxeris, there are different universes.
Universes are where stories happen. Well, most of them, at least.
As of right now, there are two universes you can learn about: Summermist Academy and Project RE.
There will be more universes to come. I hope you look forward to them~
Where we are right now is also a universe, but it’s slightly different to the others. This is where I call the Lobby — the place where you, and all the other stargazers, have access to!
Right, maybe what I said was a bit confusing.
In the Lobby, you can find all the works I’ve posted. Of course, the default sorting method is newest first. However, if you're new here, this hourglass may be useful. It allows you to read all the content in a chronological order. Sadly I don't think it works in mobile, so if you use the app, you might have to manually click to the oldest posts… Sorry!
We also have a mailbox — or, yes, an ask box! You can send stuff to not only me, but also all the other characters — I will help deliver your words to them. Generally, anything’s good as long as I can tell what character a letter is for, though do keep in mind that I have the ability to direct your letters to another character, including me, if I think it's better for them to answer.
Since there's such a wide variety of things I put in the Lobby, the tags on a post can help a lot in knowing what it's about!
Almost all of my posts are tagged with “Noxeris” — this is basically my way of saying these posts are by me.
If you look closely, the hourglass is actually just posts tagged with Noxeris, but with a “/chrono” at the end of the URL. This trick also works for the other tags, if you want to read the posts in that tag chronologically.
Next are what I call universe tags and character tags. As the name suggests, universe tags show you what universe the post happens in or is talking about.
There's a universe tag that's a little different: nowhere. You see, I — along with some others you’ll come to know about — do not live in any universe. Therefore, stories involving us technically happen nowhere.
Of course, they're obviously happening somewhere. This post, for example, is also tagged as nowhere, but you know we're in the Lobby. I simply tag these posts as such because, well, don't you think it sounds cool? It's not everyday you get to say you're “nowhere”, you know?
Character tags are usually the character’s name, followed by a “universe code”, so to speak. Summermist Academy is “sma”, Project RE is “re”. As for people like me, since we're “nowhere”, there also isn't a universe code.
Oh, do note that sometimes not everyone who appears in a post is tagged. If they only appear for like, one line, then I might decide not to tag them. My logic is basically “would you want to see this post if you're scrolling in their tag looking for them specifically,” and “does this post contain important information about them.” Though if you think a post is tagged inappropriately, feel free to tell me!
Then we have perhaps the most complicated, but also most important thing in this whole tour — post types.
Let's start with the simpler ones. Tags like “.txt” or “.png” indicate what type of media the post has. Writing is .txt, drawing is .png, and animations or other videos are .mp4 … I’m sure you get the idea.
Oh, I also have tags for reblogs. In fact I have two. Copy means it's a self reblog, while facsimile means it's reblogged from someone else. Also, edited copy means the self reblog is due to edits to the original post. When I edit a post, I reblog it with this tag to show that there's some info that has been changed.
The next ones are what I call content type tags. They indicate what type the content is… actually, I’ll just introduce them one by one.
First we have archival records. Archival records are like the “main storyline” — basically, posts where most of the story is. In a sense, they're a complete, full snippet of the story. It could be a short story, a comic, an illustration with some dialogue — but the point is, it's a complete snippet.
Then there are document fragments. They… well… they also could be anything. Lines of dialogue with no clear speaker, snippets of a document file, or maybe an old photo. Document fragments tell stories too, but in a more obscure way. They also contain important information, though you might need to decipher it. That's why poems and trailers also count as document fragments, since they might only make sense in the future.
Next we have reference sheets. They don't just apply to actual reference sheets, but also posts with little to no story that still contain important information. A drawing of a character’s scars, a map of a place, or a timeline of events, they all count as references sheets. If an ask involves information that I deem important, it might also be tagged as a reference sheet.
Loose leaves are basically stuff that aren't a part of the story. Usually, anyway. Things like posts purely for celebrations, or just things that I’ve made for fun. Sometimes it's also my way of saying “this probably didn't happen.” Canonicity for loose leaves might sound a bit complicated, but generally, it's in a state of “I’m not saying this happened for sure, but it could, and if it did this is how it would likely go,” you get what I’m saying? It's like an imagined scenario, an alternate timeline.
I mean, well, I suppose you could also just take everything in loose leaves with a grain of salt. That… that would probably be less complicated, I guess.
Finally, we have answer sheets and author’s notes. Answer sheets are the tag for asks, and author’s notes are posts that only consist of me saying something. Could be important announcements, but also could just be rambling or random thoughts.
Phew! That's about it, I think. Thanks for putting up with this very long tour — I tend to ramble a bit, sorry. I hope this tour helps with navigating between these stories. Enjoy your stay, stargazer — may your dreams be starry and your reality be sugary!
