I am in equal counts proud, overjoyed, overwhelmed, excited, stunned, impressed, thankful and relieved by our IB art results this summer. We had a lot to contend with. An original group of fourteen students rather than the usual seven or so. A newly introduced component of an essay with usual stringent IB expectations. 60% externally assessed, and our 40% moderated. There were so many unknowns this year, so we trod carefully. I planned and prepared, jumped hurdles when they inevitably popped up, taught art history, structured workbook pages electronically, uploaded the entire lot via the new IB electronic system. Throughout the students WORKED. So hard.....and it has all paid off; Level 7 (top mark that anecdotally I was informed is only gained by 2% of visual art students) was achieved by; LOUIS, JULIA, ELINOR, LUCY, JENNY, KATHRIN, MARIE, VICKY & PIPPA Level 6 (also amazingly high) ; ANNIE, FRANCESCA & JEMIMA SO PLEASED. SO PROUD. well done you clever bunch
