Devin was born a dreamer, and some things never change. When he was a young boy living with multiple relatives in rural east Tennessee, all he wanted was to be a Supercross racer, or an astronaut, or perhaps a NBA superstar. Really, it was all dependent on what mood he was in and which cartoon had just ended. There are stories of how he almost died many times, yes, many stories. Stories of him tumbling down a dirt mound after colliding his 50cc Yamaha dirt bike into things that are not so soft. Stories of electrical shock and vehicle accidents. Yes, but Devin is the boy who lived. Some may say that it is through these close encounters with an afterlife that he found his driving need to leave a mark on the Earth. That driving need led to the Marine Corps, then diverted to architecture, and architecture led to the University of Tennessee. That driving need developed into a burning passion, a passion for soccer, a passion for dedication, a passion for those who came before and are now immortal through their buildings, their books, or their films; a thirst for knowledge, the desire to one day become immortal himself. It is strange though, how someone so reclusive can have such large aspirations. He is an introvert that loves people and activities, a procrastinator with anxiety issues and a fear of failure. Living in constant battle within himself, Devin shoots for the stars. Why not? If he happens to fail, he already knows how to live a minimalist lifestyle, so what is the worst that could happen? One day he will be curled up in a house he designed, drinking wine on a Tuesday night whilst reading a book with his Labrador Retriever; or perhaps he will be driving his used car to work with an Eagle, Globe, and Anchor on his shoulder. Either way, he will be remembered. Yes, Devin was born a dreamer, and some things never change.
