Architect!Reader and Engineer!S/O who are the renowned dream team in the construction world. If you hire one then you have to hire the other because together they make the most surreal, artistic, and impossible projects become reality.
Everyone on your respective teams know you're married but whether half of them believe it is another thing. It seems as though you both are constantly at war with each other, him always passionately ranting on about how your designs are physically impossible and you always refusing to change them- calling his changes to the layout and structure a 'crime against humanity'. There is never a day of peace with you two around, but at least it was entertaining.
It is only when they catch you sitting on his back with him softly giving you instructions on where to massage do they consider you may slightly like him. Maybe a little more when you're yelling down the phone at a client who gave him an unreasonable deadline, or when you sneak his favourite neck pillow on his desk while he is away.
Perhaps him making you your very own personalized standing desk mid project after you complained about sitting all day wasn't a thing just friends do, nor was him coming into the office hours before he needed to be there just to eat large homemade breakfasts together.
No other architect could ever drive him more insane than you do, but no other architect could challenge and make him feel so fulfilled either.
No other engineer could insult your blueprints as creatively as he does, but no other engineer would try so hard and make them come true.
You were perfect for each other. You knew it, he knew it, and so did everyone else.
