I pulled up Iron Lung on the TV just to see how it looked before we watched it later and I kept pausing to point out various things like:
"look at the stitching!!!"
"omg there's wayyy more patches than I originally thought?!"
"is that a snap on the hood????"
"LOOK AT THE KNIT!! I GOT IT RIGHT!!"
like realistically technology has advanced past the need for giant glass prism and brass fresnel lenses in lighthouses but I love that there's literally a company who specializes in creating reconstructions and replicas because like they just look so fucking gorgeous
like yeah "historical accuracy" and shit but also she is beautiful who wouldn't want to stare at her for hours
