Finally, he made his way to the Oplarian Market Town. He didn’t visit Cotes quite as much as other wards, so this new area was a little bit difficult for him to manage. He was use to navigating big cities- there’s no doubt he’d get lost frequently in a magical place like this.

“Still... It’s not like I hate it or anything.”

Actually, he’s a bit excited. Any chance to learn about magic is good.

Just as he was saying that to himself, he came across a girl he’s never seen before- probably doing some shopping just as he was. Ah... If he hasn’t seen her before, she may be new. He should probably be kind.

“This isn’t a shop that deals in selling happiness... er, I mean, of course I would appreciate my customers to be happy with their purchases, but direct happiness is something that’s can’t be...” He trails off. Perhaps he was taking this too literally? The question admittedly had caught him off guard.

Clearing his throat, Rinnosuke exclaims, “... Anyways... ah, I know.”

“My sakura trees.” Turning to the back window, he gestures to the cherry blossoms outside. “Are you aware of hanakotoba? Sakura are said to represent kindness, fragility, and transience. Indeed, cherry blossoms are a bewitching flower that tend to gather people together under their spell of beauty. And I can guarantee that, come Spring, they’ll be more beautiful than any other trees on the island.”

     Smirking, he pushes in the bridge of his glasses.

 Talking with young people is not his forte, at all. It is not his idea of a good time, at all. In other words its something he has no experience in, at all.

With a randomly chosen research subject in mind for the day, he turned a corner on a higher floor after climbing the staircase. He couldn’t spot a sign here either, but he did see a girl already present.

“Excuse me. What section is this?” Texts on divine magic had been the goal, but vague instructions meant he might not’ve found it.

He had decided to take the time to sit back and try to relax.  With some food in hand, it was one of the better ways to go about relaxing and keeping his focus on what he needed to do next.  He would admit that he missed a couple of food delicacies back home along with that home-cooked meal, but he couldn’t think on that.  He had to focus more on what he needed to do here.  His focus would eventually bring him back home, he believed.  He also needed to think of a way to make up for lost time for the mother he knew was worried sick about him.

His attention was taken from him as someone walked on passed him as he relaxed on a bench.  This person ... had the scent of a human, but the magic within was different?  Granted that the sense he had was weak coming from her, he could assume that she may be new to this place as he was the same way with his own.  So now he wondered why a human would have such an ability.  It wasn’t all too uncommon considering there was people back home that had their own sort of magic.  If she had power, though ... Maybe she could be of use for his goals.
