I wanted to drop in a say something. I do plan on still posting. THB having so many different things to be able to post about became overwhelming and without help, doing it by myself became too much. But I do intend on slowly trying to come back. I have a coupla asks to get to and a bunch of potential posts in a folder or drafts. But I would like to take a moment to talk about the blogger/follower relationship. I have found myself criticized a couple of times, which is fine. But not to my face, not brought to my attention. I know it can be the nature of tumblr, but it hinders the feedback process. Corrections, spelling errors, requests, are all welcome and encouraged. But please say them to me. I hate seeing stuff like this:
“(And I'll remember not to make a habit of using Archerisms as my etymological resource..) – batpigandme”
I mean, I am not an etymologist. I am just one person, who isn’t an expert on any particular subject. But I guess I just really hate the idea of someone find out more about the subject and instead of sharing it with the blog, takes the opportunity to put it down a lil. I know I’m being sensitive here, but it pisses me off as an artist, blogger and content creator to put a lot of work into things and not get feedback (good or bad) from your fanbase.
So remember the bloggers and artists you follow have doubts, make mistakes and might like some support. Whether is adding to the conversation, making a request, asking a question, give advice or offer an edit, it can make someone’s day or let them know they are doing something right, or wrong. I guess my point is, we aren’t just talking to hear ourselves talk guys, we want you to engage and talk back! ;D
