Caitlyn asks Vi if she’s still in the fight because she’s right, the fight isn’t over. Humanity is a cycle of violence and peace, it’s inescapable, but any moment that you can deliver even the smallest amount of solace within those is cosmically significant and it is always worth it.

Even between each other, Caitlyn and Vi still have a lot to work through. Communication is key in relationships, but they have the base understanding that they love each other, and that matters.

And even with Sevika as a councilor, there’s still so much to be done in terms of reparations and truly understanding the consequences of their bigotry and oppressive regime. Jinx understands this, but it’s no longer her place to be the symbol of resistance, and it never was. She takes to the skies and leaves the cities to a rocky resolution that she doesn’t need to be apart of anymore.

(Maybe I’m biased because I’m a Jayce and Viktor stan and I’m very happy for them but I do want all the characters to be happy and equally so. I’m also hoping Ekko’s still in touch with Vi and the firelights and that Mel finds peace too)

At first I felt demotivated that it seemed like they’d all had been better off had they died when they tried to. But at those times, they were all hopeless and alone.

It was just that they were able to live a little longer to find the peace in their death that taking their own lives couldn’t give them and give closure to those who’d lose them

Another corny post because cringe is dead

This might just be based on my view, but I feel like there’s still a bit of hope that can be taken from the end of episode 6.

It’s true that if you love something, you risk losing it.

But by not loving it, you run an equal risk of tragedy, by not offering your love to those who need it, and by living without it.

It’s about continuing to have hope even after it’s gone and not regretting it so long as it could have produced even a modicum of good.

If you lost something after putting your hope in it, you didn’t lose it because you had hope. It’s likely because someone else didn’t have hope.

Ambessa doesn’t have hope, as she expresses this to Caitlyn. This leads her to seeing violence as the only outcome, and her only choice is whether or not she’s the one enacting it or subjected to it.

Jayce doesn’t have hope, seeing Hextech as a curse that needs to be eradicated, that carnage needs to be enacted to prevent further carnage (note: his case in more complicated because we don’t actually know what he saw yet. I’m more so speaking in terms of if the episode ending here with this vague information)

As Viktor says, humanity is inescapable. It is largely a cycle of finding peace and then destroying it.

But you don’t have to regret finding peace, and it never hurts to believe in finding it again.

That’s why in all the carnage, the one character to actually smile amongst it is Isha.

Because she doesn’t regret her time with Jinx, and she believes she is still able to do something for her.

And maybe this time she’s right, because Jinx has lost people over and over, but now there’s hope that rather taking this as confirmation that there’s no point in trying to heal, it’s a testament to how she should always try to.
