can i hear abt ur p5r arcana swap au
okay yayyy thank you willow so
this is from a few months ago and I've changed my mind on the arcana of haru, akechi, and futaba in this au. so haru is chariot (ryuji in canon) and akechi is lovers (ann in canon). i think in this au shiho will be a confidant and the first palace will still be kamoshida But there are a few key differences:
- since sumi is still operating under the idea that she's kasumi, her awakening becomes a lot more complicated (since she's our protag and maybe? the wildcard)
- ann and shiho are still friends but not as close, so sumi receives the info on kamoshida through the new shujin trio's guesses + direct information from shiho (implications though, shiho doesn't reveal what happened to her directly)
- instead of being a transfer student, sumi is new in shujin because she's a first year
- akechi goes to shujin instead of his prestigious canon high school as he literally cannot afford it
- mona is still mona but I'm changing the way he acts slightly in the first arc because I don't like it
- remember what i said about backstories being the same? yeah akechi is still a poor orphan that's been booted from the system after his mother commited suicide (and shido is still his dad) and haru is still the rich heir of her shitty father, stuck in a horrible relationship. in this au, akechi is working many many odd jobs to sustain himself (because no assasination money, no tv star, no shido) and is considering prostitution by the time we meet him in canon. haru's issues are still pretty prominent so she often stays late at school instead of going home immediately.
- this sets up conflict between haru and akechi as well as them with their fathers later on in the narrative
- futaba only moves in with sojiro in the canon of this au (instead of before it) as wakaba's death shifts forward. this means she's not as close with sojiro but also not as much of a shut-in
everyone else's arcanas are also swapped but I'll need to think more on how those work (hermit yusuke maybe?) so yayyyyy
