The countryside has turned a vivid yellow as the Brassica napus subsp. napus (rapeseed, oilseed rape) flowers. This bright-yellow flowering crop is a member of the Brassicaceae (cabbage family), as indicated by the four petals to each flower, and is the third-largest source of vegetable oil.
