About to add this worsted skein to my #aquamarline sweater and I had to pause. I made this skein when I was experimenting with creating my Gumball colourway...and this skein didn't quite turn out the way I wanted. But I LOVE it! My accidents are often my favourite yarns! Lol! They're also usually the ones I can't recreate! Booo! More speckling experiments and more falling in love! These three sock yarn skeins are the result of an 5 to 6 hr speckling session where I allowed each layer of speckles to sit for 30 to 40 mins before adding the next colour. . I used a number of different colours, chosen for the way they would potentially mix and add other shades... All is topped off by a layer of navy-purple which muted some of the brighter speckles but gave some subtlety and depth to the overall feeling of the yarn 😍 There's almost an iridescent shine in some areas! 💙💜 . I didn't spend nearly enough time on this sweater. I was largely only knitting it during my weekly Zoom knit circle. Took just over 3 weeks; knitting in bulky is such a time saver! Most of this yarn was my Grandmother's.
