This gluten-free recipe combines the earthy flavors of roasted Brussels sprouts with the sweetness of apples and the nutty crunch of almonds. A simple balsamic and maple syrup glaze adds a delightful depth of flavor to this healthy and delicious side dish.
Ingredients: 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved. 2 apples, cored and sliced. 1/2 cup sliced almonds. 3 tbsp olive oil. 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar. 1 tbsp maple syrup. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Turn on your oven and heat it up to 425F 220C. Put sliced apples, sliced almonds, and sliced Brussels sprouts in a large bowl. Mix the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup in a different small bowl using a whisk. Spread the olive oil mix on top of the apples, Brussels sprouts, and almonds. Toss them to cover them all. Spread the mix out in a single layer on a baking sheet. After the oven is hot, roast the Brussels sprouts for 20 to 25 minutes, or until they are soft and the edges are starting to get crispy. Before you serve, add salt and pepper to taste. Eat your roasted Brussels sprouts with apples and almonds that are free of gluten!
