STEVEN PAUL JOBS (1955-2011). Today marks 10 years since his death by Neuroendo cancer. I photographed him in Cupertino for Vanity Fair in 2000. I was told he was a difficult subject and rarely allowed photo sessions. I was given 10 min, if I was lucky. I broke the ice when I brought up our kids in conversation. He relaxed and was able to focus on the portrait. He also gave me an additional 10 minutes. Perfectionists are intense. One of the biggest icons of the computer age. I felt very fortunate to have him stand in front of my large format camera.
