New Project: Down Dance by Appleby
Down Dance is my introduction to Chicago group Appleby(@applesgotit) but damn, they have made quiet an impression. I still need to go back and fully consume the work as it just dropped a few days ago, but I am confident in saying DD is heading to be one of my favorite projects of this year. Fakeshoredrive.com recently did an excellent interview and feature with the group. Pigeons and Planes premiered the EP. Leor Galil from The Chicago Reader praised it. And this is only the beginning. Music bloggers will be kicking themselves in a few weeks for not hopping on this sooner.Â
