I worked MegaCon Orlando this year. This isn’t special, I’ve done it the last two years. This is the first year since I upgraded to a new set of wheels. And my mom got to work her first convention because getting in and out of giant buildings sucks.
Well Mom was trying to go the bathroom, and then she spotted a certain flying bison on the convention floor. She came running to get me, but we get there and they say, “I know you want a picture but we’re about to move her.”
“You don’t understand. I’m the owner of the Appamobile.”
“Holy crap, you can absolutely take a picture!”
Honestly I think thats the first time I’ve ever been able to pull the, “Do you know who I am?” card outside of Adventureland.
Appa’s builder is a girl! She does a lot of cool cosplay. She gave me a card that I unfortunately lost. And Appa is one of the coolest costumes I’ve ever seen. Made me so happy!
