Rewatching Avatar: the last airbender
The story of Momo and the episode after is by far the saddest part of the whole series IDC what anyone else says.
Seeing the little guy hold on tightly to Appas fur as a keepsake. Dreaming of his big buddy and seeing him everywhere he goes. Sleeping in a giant paw print hugging the fur tightly. He misses his big buddy so much, its so sweet and cute and so fricken sad.
Then we see where Appa has been and what's been happening to him. Poor guy is traumatized by fire after the circus yet he still tried to help Suki from Azula. He musta been so hurt when Suki waved that torch at him and couldn't help.
The way he went back to a temple and reminisced on old memories of his childhood. How he kept seeing Aang in people. He misses his companion. He was so happy to hear the old man say he could help him find him.
I love Appa and Momo so much. They are my favorite Atla characters. Truly.
