Application Tips #3
This one is for you artists! We at Omegaverses Zine want to really highlight the lovely fics of our contributors, which is why artists and writers will be paired up Big Bang style. If you’re an artist and you’re stressed about applying because you’re worried about the commitment, this may come as good news for you! Most artists will be expected to create spot illustrations, which will not require backgrounds - so unless you’re seeking a full page illustration, there’s no need for your application to include a background either! Focus on showing off your skills - whether that’s linework, color, composition, etc. - without stressing out over not having a background. We look forward to seeing more wonderful applications from you all! Reminder that applications close August 1st, which is right around the corner!
Application Tips #2
Too nervous to apply because you haven’t posted your works before? Don’t worry! Show us an unpublished piece via Gdocs (just make sure you have the viewing permissions turned on to allow anyone with a link to read it!). You can also use this to take a short excerpt from a piece you love that might otherwise be too long to submit. Make sure to include any relevant content warnings or context at the top of the document, and you’re all set! Remember, applications close August 1st! We look forward to hearing from you soon.
