hey there anon! thanks for letting me know you’re sending this to other rphs. personally i don’t mind but i know some do so good on you

so i’ll kind of go into the rpgs i’m drawn to, since i’m not looking for one right now? and remember this is just me personally! 

when i’m looking for an rpg there are a few things that i have to have:

a group-wide plot; i can’t do rpgs that are more about different characters in one setting. i need action, a hook, a plot i can sink my teeth into and unfold my character alongside

something indicating there will be consistent activity from the main

a group chat; i only learned this about myself recently but i need a group chat. it’s the best way for me to keep in contact with admins/members since i spend a lot of my time on my phone and on the go

gotta have 5 days minimum for the activity check; just because of my rl schedule

fc diversity; because if its the same old white people over and over again i’m just not having it

must be 18+

then there are the things that i really like/will be drawn to:

my genre tends to be supernatural/fantasy plots that are different/unique in some way; there’s gotta be something that sets your group apart from the rest

i like full apps; they help me develop a character better regardless of skeleton or oc applying

character limits; because too many characters at once can burn an rpg out fast

previous plot drops/events for established rpgs

a teaser/preview of plot drops/events for new rpgs

not a big fan of disorganized rpgs; and there are some! where you kind of have to click around to find the thing you’re looking for

i. love. extensive. worldbuilding.

when i look at character blogs that are already joined i hope to see some recent activity and/or sense of camaraderie 

rpgs that don’t take themselves too seriously; it can happen. and for me it makes the admins seem kind of unapproachable? at least for my anxious ass

i didn’t go into specific fandoms or genres or anything because you’ll get so many different thoughts and kinds of feedback from other rphs and other members of the rpc. i’m personally the kind of writer who goes for an rpg that will be around a while, will engage me as a writer, and help me grow and learn. people like city/town style rpgs that give you a setting for your original concept but for me that’s not really my shebang

Willem Brannan always enjoyed their mother’s stories more than their twin. While Thea was always going off about how illogical it all was, Willem was enchanted by the magic and imagination of it all. Of course they were devastated at the loss of their mother when they were only eleven years old, but unlike their twin, Willem believed there was nothing that could be done about it. At first they thought their twin’s anger and ramblings about watching their mother be murdered was just Thea’s way of grieving, but as they both got older and Thea’s ramblings turned into an obsession to avenge their mother’s death, Willem’s concern began to grow. It wasn’t until a white rabbit wearing a waistcoat of all things showed up in their backyard one day that Willem’s concern turned into regret for not believing Thea. Thea was right all along, their mother had been murdered, and before Willem knew it they were jumping down a rabbit hole to get to the bottom of it.

The Savior’s Daughter: There was an overwhelming sense of guilt when Alice first died and Thea swore they had seen what happened. Willem didn’t believe them, no one did, and even though there was something strange and suspicious about that night, Willem didn’t want to believe. The Savior’s Son didn’t want to be absorbed in anger in revenge like their sibling was. They just wanted to move on and try to live a normal life. Finding themselves suddenly in the setting for their mother’s fantastical stories, Willem is starting to think normality may be an impossible feat.

Whiskey: Was it strange to have a cat that was older than you and still perfectly healthy? Sure. But Alice always said that as long as you took care of a cat, they could live very long lives. The naive child that Willem was, they believed it, and part of Willem thought Whiskey was simply meant to be their life long protector. The cat was always by their heels, such intelligence and concern in their eyes… Willem always liked to talk to Whiskey and treat them like a human, but they thought they were just imagining things half the time. Having just held a conversation with a talking rabbit… They aren’t so sure anymore.
