Who Would I Take To Prom? (Book Character Version)
Flashing back to my childhood, I used to love A Cinderella Story. You can guess what the story line is: Hilary Duff as Sam is forced to live with her horribly selfish and orange stepmother with two ugly step-sisters in jumpsuits, as well as deal with the difficulty of losing her father, who is her best friend. Dreaming to one day be able to go to Princeton University, she ends up working at her fatherâs old diner and keeps her dreams up with her internet pen pal, Nomad.Â
Much of the story is based on the fact that Sam and âNomadâsâ interactions arenât face to face but through messages, making him a sort of sweet talker. In the end, Sam is shocked to find her love âNomadâ to be none other but the popular football star, Austin Ames. Sam is the only one to find out Austin really doesnât like the popular title and he just wants to be a writer. Despite what everyone thinks about Austin and Diner Girl dating, Austin proves to through all opinions to the side and just be him.Â
I truly would want to take Austin Ames to Prom because he is such an honesty man with integrity that I hope to find in a man one day. I like Austinâs hair, looks, and athleticism, but mostly, I love his heart. Now, I know he is only fictional but I do see how realistic he can also be because he really is just an average honest boy. I would love to dance with him as I know my slow dance would be more romantic and reciprocated than most of the âholding hands with friendsâ dances, that I love, but would really like to outgrow.Â
Also, who wouldnât want to look like Cinderella and dance with Prince Charming under candle-lit gazebo with violins playing Edwin McCainâs âIâll Beâ in the background. Who needs the crowd of people when I know Prince Charming has special plans for us anyways!Â
