First of all, the recent drawing of Tre and Olly in suits- they are both so fucking handsome, the way you draw human people is so satisfying and perfect. If it's alright with you I have some questions about them? First of all how old are these two in shot and chaser?? How old were they when they met? if it is outright said or implied I totally forget oops. Would Olly ever cut his hair? (on my knees with my hands clasped together that the answer is no, please no, it's so beautiful and shiny, and so pullable) Would Tre ever grow his out? Thank you for making art, I really adore it :]
Aaaaah thank you so much! I love getting questions about these dudes. In SHOT AND CHASER (which takes place in May 2020), Olly is 37 and Tre is 36. They met in college at Texas Tech--I haven't really decided when. They were lab partners at some point, which is how they got to know each other, so let's say junior year. I scribbled this some time in 2022:
(Tre actually got a degree in chemical engineering and did some jobs with travel to Midland and Odessa for a brief stint, thinking the money would be good enough to make up for.... Everything, and was like... "no. nope. Also I am making decent enough cash off photography that I can leave this shit") Olly has kept his hair long since college. (I doodled this in 2021)
If it reaches the middle of his back, he gets it cut back up to shoulder length but that's about it. (And it is pullable, if you have read SWEET ABILENE) (Which takes place in 2016, and Olly's hair is only to his shoulders in that, whereas in S&C it's about 4" or 5" longer)
Tre had his hair in short twists for a while (like most of college up through 25-26). He shaved his head around the same time he started T, and has kept it fairly close cut since.
