if, while looking at works on ao3, you happen to run into something that basically says "i haven't written this yet, it's a placeholder"--please please please report that work.
go to the "policy questions & abuse reports" and file a report saying that this work is spam. you are helping the archive by doing this because placeholders are considered spam on ao3.
i realize they're the norm on other sites. ao3 is not other sites and placeholders are not a part of ao3 and never have been. please don't feel bad about reporting a work that is using the archive incorrectly. you are helping the archive continue being a meaningful resource for everyone.

Antis want more rules to be added to ao3, but they don’t seem to be capable of following the one rule ao3 has: Don’t upload shit thats not fanworks.
The ao3 moderation team would have more time to consider your stances and are more likely to take you seriously if you actually treated the existing rules with respect.
I just don't know rules. Please explain, if it is rude to post ongoing story on ao3?
I've never done that before but I just feel my current WIP would be another hell-knows-how-many k words... Because it close to 20k already and it's only the first part of at least four.
Should I do it or should I finish it (could be a month could be a year I'm fucking unpredictable) and post it after?

With all fun things there must be rules to go with them.
My rules are currently flexible since this blog is so new. If you have any rule suggestions to help my blog prosper send me a ask! If I update the rules I will make a post letting everyone know.
Please read carefully before moving on to the rest of the blog.
Blog:
1. I will not allow any form of harassment towards me or others surrounding my work. If you are rude then I will give you a warning. If you continue I will block you.
2. Cursing is allowed as long as its used in a positive way. The only exception to this rule, is if you are referring to a fictional character in a negative light. If that is the case, you are more than welcomed to curse.
3. No NSFW will be posted here. While I am fine with it, I acknowledge a lot of people are not. This is meant to be a safe place.
4. This blog is meant to be an inclusive and friendly place. If at any point I say something that has offended you please contact me. I have most likely misunderstood the meaning behind it or don't have the full picture of it. It is never my intent to upset others.
5. My ask box is always open unless stated otherwise! Send me questions you have about me, the fics I write, or any random thought that enters your head.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ao3
1. No rude comments towards me or the people who read my fics.
2. If you have advice for how to improve my writing please don't do it in the comments. Instead message me asking to share and wait for my response. I will likely say yes, but if I'm having a sour day I'll ask you to hold onto that advice.
3. No NSFW in the comment section. You may be suggestive but not NSFW.
So apparently posting prompts is not allowed on AO3 as they are not considered “fan works.” So that was my mistake. In the future I’ll only post them here and I’ll return to edit older posts later on.
