āHad a feeling you got everything you wanted, and youāre not wasting time stuck here with me.ā
AU where Sugarboo also grew up in Willoughbrooke but got left stayed behind when Seth and Alphonse ran off to the city, probably to help Alās parents at the shop. All that time, they assumed the boys were off living just fine without them considering they never called or texted or wrote or anything.
But the reality was, the boys wanted to keep Sugarboo away for the mess they got themselves into. It was bad enough they just left the way they did.
Imagine how tense it was when Al finally came back after his parents died, having to face Boo again. Much to his surprise, they werenāt bitter, but they couldnāt hide the heartbreak in their eyes. It took about a week or two (or three) of him being back in town, but when it finally came to, they stayed up for hours talking. And crying. A lot of crying.
STOPPPPPPPP OMG STOP
This is so cute in a heart-shattering way </33 Boo would've tried so hard to move on with life, they'd accepted that they'd likely never see either of them again, they'd tried to make peace with it but...they couldn't. Every other day they would think of them, wonder where they got to, wonder why they couldn't have taken them with them. Why they had to leave Boo behind, alone.
The conflicted feelings when Al came back, wanting to welcome him with open arms but still feeling so hurt from the fact he'd just dissapeared on them, they just wanted to know why. All they wanted was a why...but for now they would just be happy that he was back explanations would come soon enough.
