Inorganics-Writes here (Butterfly) same question I asked my tiger pal! Would you write a story with an unhappy ending, or one in which your characters fail?

Idk who your tiger pal is but they sound delightful just by way of being a tiger pal :O
The only WIP I've ever actually reached a satisfactory ending on is The SOLE Project. Everything else I've either restarted before I could write an ending or they've changed so much the old ending is no longer applicable.
But SOLE's ending, even splitting it into two, is exquisitely bittersweet. I don't think it's wholly unhappy, or that the characters have entirely failed, but they certainly don't succeed to the fullest extent.
It's hard to explain without spoiling, but it is definitely something I'm quite proud of.

Side note to my last post, every fucking time I buy Angelic Pretty socks or tights (and I own like...six pairs once these show up) I know they're gonna be scratchy as HELL, and I literally always think of that damn video/meme of
"but they're not even soft"

(for the record, my one pair of Alice and the Pirates socks are perfectly nice and soft; I dunno why Angelic Pretty's are so godawful)
anyway i have a hc that makaโs not rlly the type of person to use cutesy nicknames for her romantic partners but she does anyway with soul because he. cannot fucking handle it. and she thinks itโs hilarious.

I'm not putting these in any tags other than my own AU tags because I'm really worried I'll get more backlash from it and I'm really not in a place for that right now...
But like, I wanted to share these? Because I still really love the design I made? And everything I put behind it, every theory, every little detail - still ironing out a few things though.

One on the left: he has an army of "Corrupted", they're kinda a bit like a zombie army - all taken over by the Uproar and under his command. He can summon them to him pretty much whenever - kinda makes up for the lack of shapeshifting...
One on the right: he doesn't like being trapped. I mean who does but y'know... Anyhoo, he's pretty pissed about it and point blank refuses to lose, so he just blows the place up. It's definitely a power move, and not one he uses often, usually when he's emotionally charged (basically don't piss him off)... But it uses a lot of his energy, so it's more of a failsafe because it drastically reduces the time he has until needing to recharge (from notch 4 on his gauges, it would make it almost immediate)
