I’ve read some of Nate’s autobiographical comics. And I just gotta say, for someone who grew up with four siblings, two of them sisters, I don’t understand how he could have possibly messed up this bad with Catra and Adora. He literally has knowledge on every dynamic! Older, younger, brother, sister. He knows what it’s like from every angle. How does someone with that many siblings fuck up and write an incest ship?
Either he’s some kinda stupid, or there’s some weirder shit going on in his life he hasn’t put into one of his little comic strips.
Yeah, I saw that he wrote a Wander Over Yonder episode (It's SO much better than spop) and when I saw that he wrote it I understood why the comedy was so flat and the message was literally said to you "It's ok to let others take care of you" which is a fine message but a character LITERALLY says that because kids apparently can't put two and two together, sorry that was a side tangent since Wander Over Yonder is farrrrr better than spop buttt back on course, each as someone who's a big sister, some of the interactions Catra and Adora had (before they left the horde) were scarily similar, like wrestling and teasing, I honestly could relate to the dynamic before they were enemies which is really bad considering it reminded me of me and my SISTER, I mean he is just so oblivious or just did not think while directing the show.
