Tell me more about aroace Kon as a concept. Please. That idea brings joy into my soul –impulsebrainrot
I absolutely love reading Kon's character as a person that is dealing with an immense amount of a comphet partly due to the time he was made in, and also due to the Cadmus information plugged into his head that did not leave him with much individuality to start with.
When Kon was first "born" he navigated the world under various expectations and understandings that Cadmus plugged into him. He was Superman, a BOY, and boys acted a very specific way to women. He was performing a role that was assigned to him without really thinking if that was something he actually 1.) wanted and 2.) if that was even him.
Kon of course in canon does get time to parse out who he is, what he wants (and what he doesn't want) and makes a name for himself as Superboy, then Kon El and later Conner Kent as he deconstructs his life.
It's not unbelievable I think that this person who had so much of their life predetermined to sit down and think about what their truths are.
Was Kon actually attracted to the various females around him, or was he just performing in a way he thought he was supposed to? Cassie of course is an attracted girl, he admires her, likes her, she's a friend so naturally the logical conclusion would be he would want to be with her romantically and sexually. Right? That's how things go. Insert Skater Boy lyrics and the whole shebang.
So maybe Kon sits down and really thinks about it after he comes back to life, about why things don't feel right, about who he is, what he wants and he comes to the conclusion that he never really was sexually attracted to any of the girls he flirted with. And as for romance, that too was a performance because being romantic is what was expected if you thought you were attracted to a person.
Of course, Kon loves. He loves loves loves his friends and has so much love to give but not like that. He is free and he is truly himself for the first time.

10 Hull Losses Since 1990: Why the Md-11 Has the Worst Safety Record of Any US Widebody
Key Highlights The McDonnell Douglas MD-11 has a poor safety record, with 11 hull-loss accidents since its entry into service.
