Hello everyone~ Little reading update: I am finally getting through The Porpoise which is a blast and things I was not expecting 😳 am also going to continue TOWMTF by @joanhewrites which I have an ARC of! Anywho, here's the #antitbr tag, please take this with a grain of salt, especially the answers including YA books, I have no initial hate against them, It's just not the stuff I enjoy reading! 🪐A book everyone loves that you have no interest in I don't like classics very much so I'd say Dickens, Edgar Allan Poe, etc. I do want to read Tolstoy but perhaps when I'm older and when I can obtain a copy in Russian :) 🪐An author you've read a couple of books from and decided they're not for you Sarah J. Mass...I read ToG, got up to the 5th? 6th? Book and then just stopped lol. I feel like New Adult is still a thing that people don't know about but it would definitely need to be categorised as that, my 16 year old self did not need to be scarred that bad...I'm kidding, it wasn't too bad just a bit awkward because I was reading while at the kitchen table and drinking tea and my parents were in the living room so...when I tell you guys I swiped really fast, I swiped REALLY fast lol 🪐A book you bought but will never read Haha surprise, not an impulse buyer anymore! I am a huge advocate for libraries a.k.a my second home so I get most of my books there or from the CloudLibrary app (like Libby basically) before I buy them. As of right now, I don't have any books I'll never read that I'd bought so no answer for this one :) 🪐A series you have no interest in or one you never finished Throne of Glass series (have no intention of finishing), Shadowhunters, Twilight, I don't think I ever finished the Hunger Games series because the last book made me loose interest so there's that but yeah, also, the Grisha trilogy + Six of Crows...sorry, not sorry 🤷🏻‍♀️ That's it! Ima lay this out. Life is too short to read about fantasy abusive relationships. Especially if you've lived your own version. Without the looks, money, or subterfuge of respect and consent. I have read enough clips and snippets and excerpts to know I will never read this book or watch the movies. City of Bones, I guess. I know a lot of people love Cassandra Clare but the fact that there are so many books around the same subject overwhelms me and I get bored even before giving it a chance. • An author you have read a couple of books from and have decided their books are not for you?
