I don't hate Yamatai, but some of the fandom is extremely Taichi-centric, and it honestly makes me feel like they're disrespecting Yamato instead without noticing.
A lot of the posts seem to push Yamato as a character down just to hype Taichi up, and I'm expected to laugh along like it's funny or feel like making Yamato one dimensionally about Taichi is supposedly romantic.
Yamato is the character I want to see loved, appreciated, and even babied the way he deserves. Taichi, on the other hand? I'm just not a fan of him, I am neutral at best. If Taichi can't love, cherish, or baby Yamato, then I don't see why he deserves Yamato's attention in the first place.
At that point, I'd rather people ship Taichi with Sora, Koushiro, or literally anyone else and just leave Yamato alone 😞 I am way too insecure right now and my life is hard enough to be able to deal with even smallest fandom shenanigans
