Yea I don’t really like the butch/femme dynamic either. I think maybe that’s why I’m really hating that relationship. It seems kind of forced to me as well, like Emily saying she can’t believe she was with Paige? Really?

I don't know. I just know that it's not working and it's never worked and the show's writers should have just left the well enough alone when Emily dumped Paige for Samara (and didn't look back). But no. Paige shows up out of nowhere in the next season and only manages to get Emily AFTER her girlfriend is MURDERED. Emily doesn't seem like herself when she's with Paige and there is that ever so constant SCREAMING!UNCOMFORTABLE!CRINGE!FORCED!STOP IT thing happening when they're together...

The whole foundation of their relationship is composed of really fucked up things. How did they first start flirting? Paige held Emily's head under water until she started choking on water. SO CUTE! How were their first dates? Closeted and sad. How was their first break up? Happened so fast you barely remembered Paige at all cause Emily moved right on to the new blonde girl. How did they get back together? Well, after Paige tried to go after Emily several times when she was at her lowest points, emotionally, physically, psychologically, etc. She then finally won Emily while she was still grieving over her girlfriend who was just killed! Yayyyyyy!
