When I first saw this dress for sale, I immediately thought it had enough historically inspired touches to make a governess look - that is to say, one in particular. So I cobbled together some items I already owned (modifying my trusty hat with some pinned in tulle and flowers, exchanging the corset ribbon for a red one) and created the Mary Poppins inspired coord I was thinking of. In retrospect, I probably would have worn different socks, but whatever. I love the little details on AP's solids such as this one, but I've since sold the dress since I couldn't see myself wearing it another way.

I took a bunch of pictures of this outfit and couldn’t really find that many that I liked (instead, I felt there were a lot that I disliked in just one aspect..), so here is a collection of rejects.

The most edgy Holy Lantern coord 😂

I created this outfit around the idea of wearing this fake garter belt style corset over Holy Lantern (wearing a corset over HL is really nothing new), and the idea to make it really weird/ero took off from there. I’ll probably wear a similar concept again, but not nearly as crazy as this.

The gun is a fake prop/toy, by the way.
