@antcmbra asked: 006 021 and 059
006. What sense do they most rely on?
as tak’s antennae act as her ears and nose, she relies on those senses most. she is also by nature an aural person. music and static noise ground her, and even if you are trapped in a dark room, you can still navigate through sound and touch, after all. plus, people can put up facades. tak knows that she can learn more about what a person is really like by listening to the dips in their voice or analyzing their scent. who have they been around? are they taken or single? what pieces of their environment cling to their clothing? are they afraid and smell like adrenaline? she’s very primal, for lack of a better word, that way.
021. How do they display affection?
even though tak wishes that she could be physically affectionate with her loved ones, it will always somewhat feel like she’s going against her nature. irkens don’t hug. they don’t coddle or hold hands or kiss. this isn’t to say that tak won’t appreciate affection directed towards her, but love languages that come more easily to her are acts of service, quality time, and gift giving. she’s very attentive and analytical so if she sees a loved one ogling something in the store, she’ll get it for them. if they’re tired after a long day, she’ll make dinner and listen to them rant about their coworkers. she also has a penchant for teasing and bestowing nicknames on those she likes. and if you’re nickname is in irken? yup. you’re stuck with her forever now.
059. List several phrases your character is fond of uttering. Where did they pick them up?
after downloading some info about the old world from the resisty, she’s replaced her former “by the control brains” to “by the hive queens.” muttering “irk” or “mother irk” is her equivalent of “oh my God.” she’s also picked up quite a bit of earth lingo. her favorites are: basic, hot take, shade, slay, extra, and quotes from memes like “this might as well happen,” “then perish/beg,” and “that’s/it’s my opinion.”
