They kept rubbing up against the child, making purring noises as they go along. Morgana was quite aware that purring soothed people, so they kept making that noise.
Seeing the child be distressed in his slumber was upsetting, but Morgana wasnât going to admit that. They were just doing what they would do if Joker was going through the same motions.
His body stiffened at first. While Lucas knew that kneading was something that normal cats did to get comfortable on wherever they wanted to lay down on, the feeling the pressure of such an action was a lot more different than just seeing it happen.
Lucas took deep breaths to calm himself. It was reminding him of something he didnât want to remember. The kneading sensation would go away if he just endured it for the small amount of time.

It felt odd to feel the fur of a cat onto his skin; as he was used to Boneyâs longer fur brushing against his skin. Though that shouldnât really stop Lucas from taking it in with having dealt with other animals like the sheep of the ranch.
His hand went across Morganaâs body softly and slowly. Always remembering to be gentle; especially with one offering to accept the affection. Obviously a bit different with Morgana not exactly being a normal cat; yet it was something they were okay with Lucas doing.

He couldnât help but smile at this. Usually it was Boney who would do this kind of thing; as the dog was trained to do that. Said dog had sat up and walked towards the bed; leaving space between himself and Morgana.
While Lucas couldnât exactly remember much of their previous interaction; all he could remember was the name of not-a-cat being and the iconic tuxedo fur pattern that they chose for this form.

The tuxedo cat meowed at the lad, "Maaao. [â another nightmare? â]"
They started to rub up against the kid, nudging their head into him.

Lucas had been tossing and turning in his bed for some time. It was another one of those nights. While this occurrence isn't as often, it was still something that happened every now and again.
The image of seeing the life in his mother's eyes slowly fade haunted him to this very day. The metallic scent of blood flooding his every sense to the point of it being overwhelming. Even the weight he had felt from both Claus and his mother using their bodies as a form of shields couldn't be forgotten.
It was then that Lucas felt something rub against his face. He was used to Boney doing this; as it was something the dog usually did to calm him down.
"Nmmhn...." Lucas groaned as his eyes slowly opened before he snapped completely awake. It wasn't Boney doing this, but Morgana instead. "Mor...gana...?" He spoke; sleepinessin his voice while coming to his senses.

Lucas looked down to see Boney pawing at his leg in excitement. Something was going on for the dog to be acting this way.
âBiscuits?â Lucas echoed as he looked down at the village from the hill; deciding to spend a bit of time away from everyone. But Lucas couldnât refuse Boney and his request; especially with saying please. The dog had stayed by his side during those lonely years that Lucas had spent mostly by himself; the very least he could do was spoil Boney from time to time.
âSure. We can go see if Miss Tessie made a new recipe for biscuits!â
