unusual.

       “O~kie.  .   . buh be careful! That thin’ looks like a weapon.”

   His eyes stare at Otto’s feet as they confidently take their place on this weird board with wheels. Was it supposed to have magical powers to move the wheels? Is there an engine on the bottom? So many questions. Link is more concerned of Otto’s safety. That weird air kick ended up with the kid having a conversation with the floor and the board rolling away, with no Otto on it. Maybe it was in reverse.

     Link rushes over to the other and kneels down to help him.

       “Ah.   .    . Yeh forgot ta say ‘no thankin’ yeh.’”

     you  take  a  moment  to  bask  in  the  moment.    really  take  it  in.    you  could  never  have  messed  this  up  more  then  you  managed  to.    you  guess  beginners  luck  is  not  always  the  case.    you  place  your  palm  against  the  rough  concrete  you  slammed  your  face  on  and  lift  up  your  upper  body  and  sit  on  the  ground.

     ❛  i  did  not  forget,  ❜    you  manage  to  say  between  clenched  teeth,    ❛  i  am  saying  no  thank  you  as  we  speak.  ❜

     you  smile  through  the  pain.    you  are  saying  no  thank  you.    if  it  was  polite  it  would  go  away.    there  is  some  dirt  on  your  face  and  shirt  as  well.    if  you  politely  told  it  that  you  prefer  being  clean,  do  you  think  that  it  would  go  away  too ?

❝ sleep… ing? ❞  did he hear that correctly? yes, yes he did. otto has been largely absent… due to sleeping. the problem is that it has been a ridiculously long while, and to be down and out for that long is concerning, to say the least. how is he up and walking? was… was he in a coma? did something happen to him?!

before he even has the chance to protest his claims, a box is handed over to him. he is utterly speechless, staring down at it before glancing up at otto, then back down. there it is, a little winding key, and once turned, it does its things. it’s really cute, honestly… but his priorities lie elsewhere.

❝ th— thanks, really, but… you… you’ve been gone for months because you’ve been asleep? seriously? ❞ he looks significantly horrified. ❝ what even happened to you? how did that happen? you must have been seriously hurt—— ❞ then again, this is otto. he has a penchant for doing absolutely ridiculous things. ❝ ——right? ❞

     ❛  yea,  sleeping !    it’s  not...    it’s  not  that  weird  is  it ?  ❜    you  lower  your  head  a  little,  ashamed.    you  did  not  intend  to  worry  geno  like  this.    you  kind  of  forgot  that  going  for  long  periods  of  time  is  not  normal  to  most  people.    your  question  did  not  need  an  answer.    you  already  found  it  etched  across  geno’s  expression.

     ❛  ... my  bad.    i  should  warn  you  next  time,  huh ?  ❜    you  quickly  begin  smiling  happily  again  —  after  all  —  what  is  done  is  unfortunately  done.    you  can  not  undo  the  emotions  you  caused  your  big  brother  to  feel  in  this  moment.    you  still  have  so  much  to  learn.    you  just  have  to  keep  hoping  for  better.    ❛  i  didn’t  get  hurt  or  anything.    i  just  slept.    sometimes  i’d  wake  up  then  go  right  back  to  sleep.    sorry !  ❜

     as  quick  as  ever,  your  eyes  focused  back  to  the  music  box  in  geno’s  hands.    you  motion  towards  it.    ❛  pull  the  string !    pull  the  string !  ❜
