Has Silvaineaux ever travelled to a beach or spent much time at the seaside? Was it for official business or for leisure? What did he make of the ocean, the sand and the people?
Did he return with any souvenirs? Or particularly fond memories? Perhaps of time spent with a friend or lover?
Did he enjoying swimming or spending time at the beach (assuming that it was in a warm climate)? Or does he avoid the water? What kind of swimwear would a noble Ishgardian such as Silvaineaux wear? (I can't imagine the Ishgardian beachwear market is a thriving one) Or would he sooner stay fully and formally dressed, even at the beach?
Priarch's headquarters are in Mists so the beach actually isn't terribly far away from them. They generally are too busy with several problems to indulge in many visits to the beach, but sometimes there is an occasion to go down there. However, he also did travel once to Thavnair partly for Priarch business and partly in an attempt to elope. (Foreign laws ended up being more complicated than expected and the elopement didn't quite go off) He did see some of the ocean there too. He has also paid a few more 'off the clock' visits to La Noscean beaches here and there. He like the ocean, at least he likes it from the shore and from the water near the beach. He likes the sound of it and rush of the waves and finds the immensity of it both daunting and oddly soothing. As for the people he is always a little surprised to see ladies so scandalously attired (he politely averts his eyes) though he can of course understand the practical side of the matter. Fisherman is an intriguing way to make a living. He liked the people of Thavnair a lot as well.
The first time he met Sui he had actually just intended to go see the ocean, and then ended up walking there with a fellow he just met. They had an interesting chat. He remembers it quite vividly. Recently his friend Anselme took him out sailing on a small boat. He also found that quite fun and memorable. He has not taken home many souvenirs from La Noscea other than memories. He did bring a number of things home from Thavnair, though not necessarily particularly from the beaches.
Silvaineaux does like swimming. He grew up swimming in a quiet part of the river in Coerthas that ran by his family's estate so he is actually a pretty strong and proficient swimmer, though one with a greater familiarity with freshwater than salt. He does not like water when armored however, for many reasons, including rust and the fact that he would sink like a stone if the water was deep. When Priarch visits the beach he is too wary of trouble to indulge in beach activities himself and prefers to stand around fully armored while everyone else indulges. When visiting Thavnair, though he found some swimwear in Radz-at-Han for the beaches. It was mostly just a pair of shorts. In a foreign country where he is unlikely to be recognized and gossiped over he is not so terribly ashamed of his own skin that he minds it being seen. (Though if there are too many people around he might pull a shirt on to hide the worst of his scars for their sake as much as his own). As a boy some of his swimming in the river was skinny dipping. He always wears more than -that- now, though just how formally dressed he remains very much depends upon the context.
19. Weal
CW: Needles (non-hypodermic)
"If you do not stop squirming and whining I will give you something proper to whimper about." The chirurgeon threatened, fingers curling tightly around the wrist that he had pinned to the table. A small dining table where the remains of afternoon tea sat a short ways away growing cold in its neglect. Medical tools and tinctures scattered between plates and saucers. He gripped firmly enough that the points of nails manicured to wicked points began to bite into skin. "It is unseemly for a Knight." The title was spat as though it was a four-letter word.
The Knight forced himself to still, his gaze turned aside to avoid watching the other work. It was never pleasant and sometimes it was better not to know when treatment would resume. How many bells had this been dragging on for now? Barely even one, if the nearby chronometer was to be believed yet it had felt like an eternity.
Anselme de Haillenarte - Himbo Extroardinaire
Yellow Dandelions
Ok maybe Guiscard wasn't the last I forgot I hadn't posted this yet. Golden retriever axe-wielding powerhouse. All three pillars of the Himbo in action. Strong of arm, pure of heart, dumb of ass.
He's TRYING, dammit

Romanceable NPC:
Tone-Deaf Tourist - "I have only just arrived but I am eager to see more of this vibrant land. I am already enamored of their cuisine and couture. Would you like to explore it with me?"
Quest Giver NPC:
Out-of-Place Ishgardian - A knight far from home seems to be eyeing you with a mixture of confusion and hopefulness. He likely has a problem only a great hero can resolve. It is probably a fetch quest.
Final Boss:
Anselme the Undaunted - Virtue in excess may turn to vice. Loyalty to blind trust. Optimism to naivete. Selflessness to recklessness. Anselme has lost sight of the bigger picture and intends to do the wrong thing for the right reasons. Meet him fearlessly on the field of battle to remind him what truly matters...
