Happy ThorsDay - Annar the Father
Well here we are another Thor’s Day and another 20 min sketch of a Norse (and Germanic) mythological characters.  This week it’s Annar the Father, Earth Giant.  Giant of Earth Works and Creations. (Also known as... Onarr, Annaver, Annarr, Anar, Anaar, Onar).  Father of the Earth Giantess Jord with Nott (night). Jord is Thor's biological Mother, and is also Mother to Thor’s Adoptive Mother Frigg/Frigga. Which makes him one of Thor's Grandparents and Great Grandparents at the same time. He’s notably Nott’s second husband by the way.Â
Though his name also means ‘another’ he’s considered a different person from the Dwarf ‘Anarr, the Other One’, or in this case the Other Other one, who was created by Durinn and is a maker of sword parts.
