Hello! I was wondering, do the Alecani practice imping? And if so, do they use it purely for practical reasons, or do they use it for any decorative/social reasons (like trading feathers with close friends or creating unusual patterns in their wings/tails, etc.)?
They sure do!Ā Both for practical and aesthetic reasons, depending on the tribe.Ā The TasāDimali are experts with body decor, from feather dyes, decorative fur shaving, and imping.Ā The sky is the limit with those guys.Ā For tribes like the KuāDimali, seanal feathers that have molted and are in ok condition are often saved for future imping need.Ā If the individual has a bit of extra money, they might dye or bleach their imped feather to match their current seasonās colors.Ā But more often than not, you might see an Alecani flying about with a white feather or two theyāve had to imp on from previous winter sheds.

I rarely talk about most of my characters, but lately Iāve been thinking about Charlie and Vasily, characters turned Traveller NPCs turned characters. I just likeĀ āem. [Hereās some five year old art with them]

Prooooobably Yves and Nikola though Iāve been futzing with Yvesā design forever and I might work to change that. (Nikola and Yves, old art)
