5: A card you identify with (signifier)? I don’t have a particular signifier for myself, but a card I identify with would be the Star. It’s a card of hope, inspiration, and positivity. Even in my lowest moments, I find it hard to not look for the bright side and seek a new path when the one I’m on grows too dark to see - I’m a natural optimist, despite everything. I suppose another might be Temperance, if only for this philosophy I hold dear to my heart: Who cares if the glass is half empty or half full? Either way, I won’t go thirsty, and that’s a good enough place to start.
10: Do you believe decks have personalities? If yes, what are your decks’ personalities? Yes and no. I don’t necessarily think that the cards themselves have innate personalities, but I do think that the energy readers put into their cards can take on a life of their own. I also think that specific flavors of energy (and sometimes spirits) are attracted to us as individuals, and they can “stick to” the cards in a way. I only have the one deck right now, and I’ve had it for several years, so they have a pretty well-developed personality at this point. There is also a spirit attached to them (which I suppose could be considered a guide, in a way, though I hardly think of it as one) that pulls exactly no punches. They’re sassy and brutally honest, especially when I read for myself, haha. When I read for others, I usually ask them to be nice, or at least nicer, to the querent(s)... which has mixed results. I do love them, though!
