Thinking about how Garroth might have gotten his first aid skills, since he was the one who helped Brendon when he got shot (I don't think you could ever in a million years guess my current hyperfixation nope nuh uh never)
Was it before Vylad died? Did he have to help himself and his brothers through abuse?
Was it after Vylad died? Did his youngest baby brother die in front of him, causing him to learn what he could have done better so it can never happen again?
Was it while he was training to be a guard? Is it just standard training for them?
Was it after he ran away, simply something he picked up over time?
I genuinely need answers but for now take my speculations

okay okay so the song is casual by chappell roan and its about like being super intimate w a guy but he still tells his friends you're just a casual fuck.
like some of the lyrics are "i've heard so many rumors that i'm just a girl that you bang on your couch" and "knee deep in the passenger seat and you're eating me out, is it casual now?"
so like. eddie munson. angst. and reader whos fed up with him being so cocky to his friends ab how he gets her off while he brushes her off.
PLEASE hear me out đŤŁ
IM HEARING YOU ALL THE WAY OUT đŠđŠđŁď¸
(as someone who dated a literal INCEL in high school who was charismatic to all and manipulative to none but me this fucking triggered me. i see you boo)
CW: misogynist behavior, adult themes, 18+ minors DNI
eddie sweetie, this isn't you :( but without further a due...
"If you have to go around telling people that you're a good person, you probably arenât a good person."
incel!asshole!modern!eddie x fem!innocent!reader
WC: 1.3k words | part two here
Ever since you became exclusive with the âTown Freakâ, your friends have constantly been ripping your ass a new one.
They were all so wrong about Eddie Munson. Because beneath the rugged, edgy persona he likes to put on every day (spewing his âAbolish-The-Status-Quoâ Manifesto atop an unsteady table in the cafeteria) lies a woman-worshipping gentleman, a soft, romantic, misunderstood love-sick puppy who would do just about anything to know you like the back of his hand.
Your dream boy.
"No one ever wants to date the nice guy," Eddie would say to you, alluding to himself. Youâd constantly deny his claim. âBut the jocks? The rabbits in band? The chess club dweebs? Oh yeah, without a doubt. Anyone but the freak."
It all made you think Eddie was created perfectly for you. That there was some sort of invisible string in the halls of Hawkins High, waiting for just the right moment to pull you two together. And when you two kissed that one day after detention, his hands snaked gently around your waist behind the rusty, faded bleachers out by the stadium, it felt like a match made in heaven.
âYou gonna be my girl?â Eddie grinned into you, stroking your cheek, tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear. âMine and mine only?â
âYours,â you whispered breathlessly to him before reeling him in for another blissful peck.
And soon, lonely afternoons in study hall turned into D&D campaigns with him and his friends. Mundane weekend errands turned into fishing trips with him and Wayne. And soon quiet, anxious car rides became karaoke and head-banging sessions. Once aimless and confused, lost in the melody of life, suddenly all the love songs were about Eddie. You finally found the one.
It all leads you to believe your friends were just jealous of you. True friends would be over the moon.
This afternoon you had a surprise for Eddie. Just last week, you lost your virginity to him and were still swooning over how caring and tender he was with you. Surely, that is the bare minimum for a guy, but the bare minimum is so hard to come by nowadays. Cookies for Discord night with his friends was the least you can do to show how much you appreciate your boyfriend.
After extracurriculars, you rush home to get the oven going, throwing down in the kitchen to make the best snickerdoodles Eddie will ever have. And after one last look in the mirror, fixing your flirty skirt and your plump glossy lips, you set off to Forrest Hills Trailer Park.
Eddie has his headset on so he doesnât hear your multiple knocks at the door. You knew he would be home though, dudeâs got nowhere else to be on a Friday night. Eventually, you decide to hobble out back, looking through one of the windows by the kitchen that he always cracked open just so he doesnât hotbox the place.
âIâm right behind you, right behind you!â Eddie warns his friends as he nears them in the game. âGonna need some backup from Gareth the Great.â
Since heâs focused on his electronics, you decide to shoot him a text message. Hopefully then heâll come to the door.
Hi baby đ I brought you some homemade snickerdoodles :)
You canât help but smile when you hear your custom text-tone go off. But, to your surprise, you watch as Eddie turns a blind eye, chucking his phone onto the nearby couch instead of answering your text.
What the fuck?
"Ugh. She's texting me again," your boyfriend grumbles to the boys as he proceeds with the game. "She's kinda annoying, to be honest. Gonna wait a while before I respond.â
You canât believe what youâre hearing. Pressing your ear against the mesh blinds that separated you two from each other, you decide to listen in for a while longer.
âDonât you think youâre stringing her along, Eds?â
Yeah, donât you think? you think to yourself.
âYeah, but⌠free pink,â Eddie sneers with a tsk and shrug. âHowever I want, whenever I want. She just makes it so easy.â
Eddie then starts to spill the details of taking your virginity, about how you were âchimping outâ underneath him on his couch while Wayne was sleeping. What was a sacred ordeal to you was made to sound like a cheap, subpar experience to Eddie. His commentary sends the boys into a spiral, fits of hooting and hollering like it was the best stand-up bit theyâve heard in a long time. Resentment simmers within you. This canât be the same boy.
âHowâd you get a pretty girl like that anyway?â comes another voice in the call.
âPretty fucking easy,â Eddie scoffs. âYou just tell her exactly what she wants to hear. Just say what she says right back to her and the panties come right off. Sheâll think youâre soulmates.â
The room erupts with virtual laughter, followed by obnoxious sound effects that the app enables users to send to one another. Your stomach begins to twist, the forbidden cookie dough you ingested just an hour prior threatening to make its way back up.
âHAHAHA,â someone in the chat cackles. âEds will do anything for that roast beef.â
âIâve always been keen on them deli meats. Am I right, boys?â
The snickering commences again. Eddie thanks the Discord guys as they extol him in compliments, encouraging him to write a playbook on how to get a proper lay. Eddie ends up shutting down the idea. But not because he thinks itâs fucked. No. Itâs because he claims he doesnât âhave to tryâ and that you just âput outâ at the drop of a hat.
The tray of Eddieâs undeserved cookies shakes in your hands as your body begins to tremble. Youâre going to be sick. And just when you think it canât get anymore twisted, it does.
âHey, what do you think about that girl from math class with the fat ass?â
âHarmony?â
âYeah.â
âGod if sheâs into me too Iâd dump my girl in a heartbeat,â Eddie swoons.
Of course heâd gawk over Harmony. Outside of Tammy Thompson and Chrissy Cunningham, Harmony Heathers was next up to bat for the Queen of Hawkins High.
âSheâs got fucking beanbags where her ass should be. Iâd do just about anything for her.â
âAnd her.â
âYeah and Iâd do her.â
"I'd do her too," Eddie admits.
Thatâs enough.
Youâve heard enough to know that Eddie âThe Freakâ Munson was just like the rest. Throwing the snickerdoodle cookies you made for him into the trash, you sprint back to your car and set off for your house, music blaring the entirety of the commute.
My friends call me a loser 'Cause I'm still hanging around
I've heard so many rumors That I'm just a girl that you bang on your couch
You slam the door to your room the moment you get home. And before stripping down and hopping into the safety of a warm shower, you send Eddie one last text.
Actually, you know what? Itâs over. Donât talk to me ever again.
Washing the grossness off of you was the only way you felt you could feel okay.
You wanted the remnants of Eddie OFF of your body. Hysterically sobbing, you attempt scrub off all the dead skin on your body with a loofah. Frustrated tears roll down your face.
I thought you thought of me better, Someone you couldn't lose
You wanted all the dead cells off of you. You wanted a new body. You wanted a new life.
And you couldnât wait to grow newer, thicker skin. A new shell of you. It will be skin that Eddie can never say he touched.
You said, "We're not together" So now when we kiss,
Fuck Eddie Munson.
I have anger issues
You give the weird kid a chance, and then suddenly he acts like youâre the freak.
Stormy evenings always reminded her of him. Maybe it was the unease in the air or the way thunder overtook all her senses. He always felt like the oncoming storm; passionate, forceful, unpredictable and unreliable âŚ
She never understood why she fell in love with him.. Well, love wasnât something to be understood, just to be felt.. She remembered how his eyes first stole her attention.. If she were a poet, she might have been able to do them a justice, but even in the secrecy of her mind, the word she called them eyes of a heartbreaker.. Maybe she knew it even back then, because when he was telling her about how he wanted to spend his life with her, his eyes never agreed with his words.. They were distant, looking at the sky where she couldnât followâŚ
He was a storyteller, had a way with words like no one else.. A flirt with a charming personality, he always played the crowd.. It never bothered her because every few seconds he looked for her, making sure she was still there. His grand promises, his poems never impressed herâŚBut every time he made her laugh over a silly joke, he won her over a little more..Maybe she wasnât the romantic who understood the beauty of the words, but in the end, she was as much susceptible to his sunshine smile.. She still remembered a last time he smiled at her, on the way to the airport, waving her goodbye. She wasnât sure if that genuine smile had broken her heart or made her appreciate her decision even more because the relief in his eyes when she had turned down his grand proposal was easy to read!
She would never deny his undying love for her. He loved her with every part of his being, but he courted chaos... He dreamt of being one with the wind; of kissing the stars, and she was never one for sharing! She wanted to keep him for herself, to trap the storm in her heart.. Once he had written a poem for her, comparing her to the lotus, untouched by mud and unfazed by the rain..He talked about the radiance of her beauty and strength of her will; purity of her soul and perseverance to face challenges.. He sang about how enchanting she was and how all he wanted was her love.. But a lotus couldnât leave its pond after all.. Anything that came too close to the lotus somehow ended up trapped with it after a nightfall..
Oh, he was a dreamer, and she loved him way too much. Because she was a realist, she had to let him go before she trapped him with her.. Some days it would pour and droplets would cling to petals like a loverâs embrace, but the storm couldnât stay and lotus couldnât leave. Lotus and thunderstorm might love each other, but not even a wordsmith like him could write a happy ending for that tale .!
Iâm in a mood and would love some angsty Niall friends to lovers shit if you have any of that lying around đŠ
ah yes i love this i havenât written true angst in a while so bear with me and i got a little carried away and made it kinda long hehe so i put a keep reading block, but thereâs no smut //Â
you loved him. you loved him so much. you and niall had been friends for years now and you keep falling for him more and more every day and it sucks. nobody knew that you had feelings for him but you and your mom. he didnât feel the same and you accepted that. everyone always teased you both about secretly dating or whatever and he always blew it off and said things like âoh please, weâre just friendsâ etc. you agreed obviously, but it broke your heart bc you wanted to kiss him and hug him and go on dates with him and go to bed every night with him and wake up next to him and tell him how much you loved him, but you couldnâtâŚÂ
usually when your friends tease you, it hurts, but you can easily brush it off and go on about your day, but today you were feeling extra sensitive to the situation for some reason.Â
you were all over at niallâs house for a little grill out. everyone was spread out around the back porch, snacking and chatting amongst themselves while mully worked the grill. you and niall sat closely on the love seat, giggling about something he had shown you on his phone.
âmy god, just kiss her already!âÂ
âgerry, fuck off,â he giggled, ââs not gonna happenâÂ
you tried to laugh it off, but just couldnât. your chest tightened and you could feel the tears threatening to spill from your eyes and thatâs when you broke. the sound of everyone's laughs killed you because you wanted to kiss him. you wanted to kiss him so bad, and his words felt like a jab to your heart and you just couldnât take it anymore. you stood up and stormed inside, feeling like the room was closing around you. you were embarrassed at your actions, definitely. it looked so dumb to everyone else, but to you, it was much deeper than a friend teasing you.Â
you went straight to the closest room and shut the door behind you, locking it and face planting onto the bed, letting your tears fall free. you just wanted to hide and never see a human face ever again; especially not any of them.Â
it wasnât long until you heard the doorhandle jingle and niallâs voice ring behind it, ây/n open the door.â you stayed silent, hoping that maybe after a couple tries to get you to open up, heâd walk away and give you some space, but he didnât so you eventually had to get up and unlock the door for him. you came face to face with him, his eyes locking with your bloodshot red, teary ones. you immediately sat back against the headboard of the bed, keeping your head low as niall closed the door behind him and sat next to you at the edge of the bed, ây/n what the fuck is wrong with you?â
âif youâve come tâ yell at me, just leaveâ your voice was hoarse and vulnerable and it made him feel bad for coming on so strong
his voice softened when he replied with âright, iâm sorry. whatâs wrong though?â
you shook your head, ânothing, itâs dumbâÂ
âitâs not if itâs gotcha this upsetâÂ
âniall stopâÂ
ây/n no, tell me whatâs wrong. dis shit usually never bothers you, ya just laugh it off, what happened?â
âoh my god,â you hummed to yourself, not being able to keep the next few words in your throat, ââcause niall, i love you!â
he was speechless
âi love you so much and it fucking sucks tâ hear that shit all. the fucking. time. yeah, i laugh it off âcause i donât want anyone tâ know how I feel âcause itâs fucking humiliating and when they all joke about that stuff, it makes me wanna die inside âcause i want it all to be real so bad, i wanna kiss you and hold you and call you my boyfriend, fuck i donât - i donât even know and it sucks âcause I know none of itâs ever gonna happen and i just fucking broke âcause i canât take it anymoreâÂ
youâre practically sobbing as you pour your heart out to him and he is silent on the other end, not knowing what to do, âshit, y/n, i donât even know what tâ sayâÂ
âjust donât say anythingâ
the awkward silence was killing you because you knew what he was thinking and you didnât want him to confirm it with his words. you just wanted him to leave. you wanted to crawl up in a ball under your covers and stay there forever.
âniall, just please go, just leave me alone right nowâÂ
Could you please write a bit about what happened after the events of Triple Frontier, when Benny finally made it home to his partner?
Is this angst? Is it not? Is it an airplane? I honestly donât know what happened here, anon but I sure hope this is close to what you wanted. I wanted to include some pieces on how it changes Ben in the following weeks of that but just very briefly lol
The Aftermath (Ben coming home)
Itâs not the sound of keys in your front door or the pattern of footsteps coming into the living room that wake you up but a gentle squeeze on your leg. Benny sitting at the end of the couch, a tired smile on his face seems like a dream to you at first and you need a second, a very short second, to wake up your hazy brain.Â
âJesus Christ ââ The blanketâs on the ground and you scramble to your feet before you know it, arms already thrown around his neck. You almost knock Benny off the couch but he catches you in his own arms, face pressing into your shoulder as you hold each other for what feels like eternity. Your hands are pushing through his longer hair, the hat already knocked off and you press a hard desperate kiss to his lips - desperate in a sense of needing to feel him in order to understand that he is truly home. Benny kisses you back witch such force that your lips tingle as you separate again. His hands cup your cheeks and for a moment you two are quiet, just looking at each other. While your eyes search for any prominent injuries Benny tries to think of anything he wants to say to you but the thousand thoughts he had about you during his mission seem to have left his mind, the only thing heâs able to do is keep looking at you.
âHow.. When did you get back?â Your voice cracks a little bit and you have to swallow the sudden lump in your throat, gently cupping his face with your hands, holding up his head, that seems to weigh much more than you can remember.
âJust about now.â he whispers so low you barely hear him right, your ears peaking up at the raspy undertone of his voice. Benny looks tired. His eyes are red, the usual easiness gone and youâre suddenly afraid as you look into them. Thereâs a silent question written all over your face, brows knitted together in confusion as you search for words that die on your lips every time your try to string them together into a sentence. What the hell happened?
Benâs face turns. He squeezes his eyes, hands scrunching up your jumper so hard that his knuckles turn white and you stroke his cheeks, trying to kiss away the pain as the first tears fall but failing miserably. This is not something you can fix, not now, so you pull Benny closer to your chest, reassuringly stroking the back of his head as hollow sobs escape him and his body shakes in your embrace. Â
âItâs okay, youâre home. Youâre home, shh, Babe.â Itâs meaningless, you know that but the words spill out on instinct, your lips pressed to the top of his head as Benny falls apart between your fingers. You can barely make out his words that tear out of him, muffled by your shirt and his voice breaking between shaky breaths.
âTomâs dead.â
You stop. Itâs such an obscene thought, Benny has to say it a second time before you truly understand the meaning of it. âTom is dead.â
Grief is prominent the next days in your house. It seeps through every corner, lingers behind your backs, always watching, always there. The aftermath of the mission hits both of you and though Ben is undoubtedly more affected by it, Tomâs death tears your heart apart just much. Itâs not the first time Benny returns home from a war zone, physically and mentally, youâve been there before as a couple, but this time itâs inevitably different - and much more complicated to work through.
Benâs quiet in the week that follows, eyes often gazing out the window, lost in thought, and you have a harder time keeping him in the present with you. Though heâs calm at home, rage seems to be much more present whenever heâs at the gym, throwing himself into another workout to a point where he gets kicked out until his attitude changes. Thereâs a restlessness to Benny that he canât seem to shake and you wake up more than one time to an empty bed just to find him in a dark living room, sitting at the window. Itâs one of those nights where he tells you the whole story of what happened, pausing in between, trying to force the words out and hoping once heâs said them, the memories will leave him alone. Itâs a time of grieving, a dark quiet time that takes from both of you - until itâs Tomâs funeral.
Neither Ben nor Will are officially invited but they still meet at the cemetery, standing just far enough that they can still see the casket being lowered into the ground and not be spotted by the crowd of friends and relatives. Will has his arm around his brother and though neither of them get to say goodbye with the rest of Tomâs family, it does help a little bit just to be there.
Benny lays his hope on time, really. Time and you. Itâs the two things that he knows will get him through this and it mends a broken part in him every time he gets to take a look at you, your presence not only calming but soothing for him. Â
He doesnât talk about the events after the funeral again. Benny isnât shying away from his feelings but heâs felt them already and heâs not one to dig deeper than he has to. And you donât push, knowing better than to try and force him into a topic that he rather wants to leave settled. See, you trust Benny enough to make his own decisions regarding his feelings with his military life because at the end of the day you have to. Itâs not something youâll ever know like he does, never something you ever want to know that intimate way so you become the crutch at home. Youâre his anchor, representing everything about home that he loves and holds close to his heart.
In the end, time is the only thing that lessens the pain. Weeks, months, even years from now Ben will still feel a pang of mixed emotions thinking about Tom - Pain, regret, anger. Guilt. But itâll be a little less every time it happens, hitting him a not as hard as the last one and being a little easier to swallow. Itâs nothing he can control - only the time in between it happens but Ben knows itâll get better. He trusts time.

Ayyy congrats on 300! You are so talented! I have a request for something with Brian when he falls ill and you're there when he collapses after the show and you're super worried and upset and take care of him. You about how scary it was because you thought you were gonna lose him and he comforts you. All of these posts flying around about when he got sick got me all in my angsty/fluffy feelings! Thanks so much and congrats again!
Note: Thank you so much for requesting it means a lot! I did a LOT of background work with checking facts, including actual knowledge on Hepatitis (both B and C, since Iâm not quite sure what kind Brian actually had) and history and everything on this so I really hope I didnât mess something up along the way.
You had to admit it. He had been acting and looking a little strange for some time now. It started out with just an innocent loss of appetite - you didnât think much of it at first, it was their first trip to America after all and your poor boyfriend mustâve been nervous. The loss of appetite turned to nausea and then he started complaining about being sore and tired all the time. Lately, it almost looked like his skin and even the white in his eyes had turned slightly yellow but every time you asked him if he was okay, he had puffed up his chest and assured you that nothing was wrong. And like a damn idiot, you had believed him.
âBri.. Are you sure you should do this? You look really sickâ you almost pleaded your boyfriend to stay away from the stage.
âIâm fine, baby. Iâm just a little nervousâ he assured you, gently squeezing your shoulder.
âYou donât look fine, Brian. You look really really sick and Iâm fucking worried about you. Please donât go on that stageâ Mentally you were on your knees begging for him to just listen to you and go to the doctor. But you were in America - and the doctors over here were deadly expensive and none of you had any money.
âIâm fine, please. Thereâs no need to worry - and I have to be on stage in a few minutes.. Please just relaxâ His voice sounded strange too. Almost like he didnât truly believe his own words. He bent down and placed a soft kiss to your lips - it felt like he didnât actually have the power to kiss you any harder. Something was wrong and you knew it.
He went on stage and played the show - almost. He looked like a shell of a man, yet none of the other bandmembers had actually seemed to notice. Finally, the show was over and the stumbled off stage and to the backstage area where you were waiting for them alongside Veronica and Mary.
Brian handed his precious guitar to a Roadie and as he took his first step towards you his knees bucked, and he collapsed on to the ground with a strained grunt. He almost looked dead. Like a lifeless doll that had been thrown from high above, his legs were bend and almost underneath him. He was laying on his stomach with his arms underneath his chest, as if he had tried to break the fall and his head was turned to the side, but his face was covered by his big fluffy curls.
âBRIAN!â you screamed in a way that made your voice crack and attract the attention of everyone around you.
You ran over and threw yourself on your knees next to him, quickly grabbing his head. He seemed slightly awake, yet he didnât respond to anything.
âBrian, pleaseâ you started to sob as you shook his head lightly. He didnât respond. He didnât even open his eyes.
âWe have to do something!â you heard Roger say, quickly commanding a few people around in an effort to actually get something productive done.
âWake up, pleaseâ you wept into Brianâs hair before you felt a pair of hands on your shoulder.
âHey.. We have to get him up from the groundâ One of their crew members were talking and you didnât want to hear a word about it. But he was probably right. You let go of Brianâs head, knowing that you werenât strong enough to pull him up.
A few of the men around you got him up from the floor and that seemed to wake him up a little, but not as much as you had wanted.
After a few moments of talking back and forth you figured out that you had to have him flown back to London right away and get him to a doctor. You simply couldnât afford any medical treatment here. In your opinion the flight back to London was too long and you were so worried about him you could barely stop crying even though the other guys - and girls, for that matter - tried their hardest to calm you down. Nothing really seemed to work - what if you lost him?
You finally got him into a hospital, and it didnât take the doctors long to find out that Brian had gotten hepatitis and it seemed to be a miracle that he had been going on for so long before he finally collapsed.
Now here you were in a hospital room with your boyfriend asleep in a small hospital bed. The yellow colour was starting to subside, making him look a little more human. At this point you knew he was going to be fine and the doctors had assured you that it wouldnât turn into a chronic disease and even with all these seemingly calming words you couldnât stop crying. The mere thought of losing Brian had scared you so bad you felt like you were still in some state of chock.
You were sitting in a chair next to his bed, mindlessly flipping through magazines and newspapers but not really reading anything. You threw the paper back on the table and gently caressed Brianâs hand before slightly grabbing onto it and squeezing it. Your eyes were still swollen and red from all the crying and every time you thought about how much you had already cried - you started to cry a little more. So here you were, alone with your sick and sleeping boyfriend, holding his hand and silently crying while just watching him and waiting for him to wake up.
You felt a little rustle from the bed and soft sounds started to emerge from Brianâs mouth.
âAre you waking up, baby?â you softly asked, gently pushing his unruly curls out of his face. Your voice was horribly raw and strained from all the crying.
âMm..â
That was the first almost-word he had spoken in almost a whole day.
âI was so scaredâ your voice was shaking at this point, which seemed to make Brian wake up a little quicker.
âHey.. Hey.. Baby are you okay?â he asked, impressively enough his voice almost sounded smooth as ever, though a little rough from the sleeping.
You couldnât help but smile a little. This huge dork just had a near-death experience and he had the audacity to ask you if you were okay.
âIâm scared Brian. Terrified out of my actual mind that I might lose you.â You confessed, rising from your chair and gently pushing Brianâs legs to the side so you could sit down in the bed with him.
âIâm not going anywhere baby, you know thatâ he tried to joke but you could spot the fear in his eyes too.
âYou almost were going somewhere. First the gangrene almost costing you your arm and now hepatitis? Not only are you going to be the death of yourself - youâre going to be the death of me too!â you almost scolded.
He squeezed your hand a little tighter and pulled you down, so he could kiss you.
âIâm so sorry baby. Iâm not doing it on purpose, I promiseâ he whispered against your mouth.
âI know.. I know. Just promise me youâll go to the doctor the next time you start feeling ill?â your tone of voice was pleading.
He nodded silently and gave you another kiss.
âThank you.. I couldnât.. I donât want to live without you Brian so youâre going to have to promise me that you wonât clock out early on meâ
He chuckled a little, but it was very clear to you that he understood the seriousness of the situation.
âI love you so muchâ you whispered against his lips before kissing him softly.
âI love you too - thank you for taking care of meâ he replied and kissed you back.
âNo more sickness now, okay?â
âOkay!â
But little did he know that only a few months later youâd be back again and this time you nearly lost him - nearly.
Note: Since itâs New Yearâs eve here, I wanted to post a little something for you guys so I made this little blurb for you. Hope you guys like it.
Flip Blind and Grease Pole are both traditional Filipino games...
"Let's play a game!"
She smiled as she crouched down to Aaliyah's level, ignoring the so-called subtle glances her brother is throwing at them. "Sure, what game?"
"I was searching the other day and your culture has a lot of interesting games... Like Flip blind!" Aaliyah suggested to which the older girl crinkled her nose in disapproval.
"I don't like that game; pretending to be blind even if the person is in front of you." She commented, sending the younger girl into a thinking session.
"Hmm.. Tag?"
"Chasing someone who doesn't want to be chased is really tiring." She said, by then both girls have caught Shawn's attention though, he chose to stay in the background.
"Uhm... What about Grease pole?" Aaliyah asked, unsure of the name to which the older girl smiled at her, poking the younger girl's nose.
"First one to fall, loses!" She exclaimed to which Aaliyah finally caught on what the older girl was trying to do. She risked glancing at her brother only to see him with a far away look on his face. She turned back her attention at what she considers to be her older sister.
"Tug of war?"
She sighed. "At some point, when the pain is too unbearable, you have to let go."
Whoop. And there it is. Aaliyah looked at the girl before her then to her brother.
"I'll...go see what games can we play then." She said, scrambling just to get out from the heavy tension the girl had set.
Silence engulfed the remaining occupants of the room before the girl sighed.
"Why don't we play pretend?" Her voice is weak, barely audible as if defeated, unknowingly sending Shawn in fits of nervousness. "You'll pretend that you don't know how I feel..."
He couldn't peel his gaze at the girl before him as she looked his way, wiping off the stray tears.
Random right people, wrong time drabble. Hope you enjoy :)
âââââââââââ
she leaned in to press her forehead against his. he lightly turned his head to nudge his nose against hers.
she whispered, âI need you to promise me something. Promise me this so I can let you go.â
âWhat, Ace?â
