7. Which Adaptations Have You Consumed The live action, the novel and the donghua, in this order. I’d started the manhua but I didn’t finish it, I read like 5 pages of it then I forgot about it oops.

16. Favourite Habit Lan Xichen whipping out his flute during an intense monologue which is more like a fanon thing because it only happens once in the show but it’s so fucking funny. Like “so yeah, our mum murdered someone, anyways have some funky tunes”. King.

22. Most Annoying Person Jin Zixun. The man has serious main character disease. Get a grip, man, you’re not interesting AT ALL.

37. Favourite Adaptation The donghua. It actually made sword flying look cool, gotta admire it. And it’s like a good mix between the novel and cql.

42. Favourite Female Character Hands down Wen Qing. She has everything I love in a female character.

49. Is Nie Huaisang More Of A Goody Or A Baddy? You can’t put him in a box like you can’t put any of the characters in any box. He’s too complex for that. He has selfish but understandable intentions when he brings back wwx from the dead and he probably doesn’t care about the bigger consequences of his actions, he just wants to see his da ge revenged. Which is totally valid and I support him (*chaya voice* nhs kinnie). And we gotta admire his dedication to revenge; plotting and waiting for 10+ years is... a lot. And then he’s like “Wei gongzi take the wheel” and pretends to pass out. What an icon. I demand a nhs pov season.

do NOT sleep in the same bed with nhs. not even the same room. he’s small, he fidgets, he Will do the thing where you rub your legs together like a cricket to get achieve maximum coziness, and he Will steal the blanket and probably take it as a personal insult and kick you if you a) try to take your bit of the blanket back and/or b) accidentally lay a finger on him during the night

mxy absolutely latched onto him (”omg you’re also not good at the things you’re supposed to be good at”) and whether you think they were working together or nhs was manipulating him, mxy definitely got obliterated for it

he’s got two modes: pillow princess or hard dom. sometimes both at once. like jiggy, he definitely has a lot of pent up aggression over being both a dom and five foot nothin. big venus in furs energy. he’s all about the thigh high shiny boots of leather

tbh i tend to read nhs as somewhat aro-spec (for better or for worse, nie mingjue is his #1). i like to think that before jiggy blew up his life, nhs’s main ambition was to be a sect leader’s trophy wife
