Speaking of celestial beings… this latest delivery of an Angel portrait was an incredibly unique experience. I’ve never had an Angel show up looking *so* human. They aren’t even close to looking human, and often matrix in some of our features to relate with their own people. This Angel posed, and I literally stared at it, and said, “Are you sh*ting me with this?” It just stared back and informed me that it’s person wouldn’t relate with an abstract appearance. It also informed my that I needed to paint the muscles it was representing—exactly. Especially the quad and the knee. Though I work with these beings everyday, all day, I am regularly blown away by how well these angels know the spirit, hearts and minds of their humans. It’s not my story to tell, how this Angel impacted it’s human. However, it knew exactly what it’s human needed, right down to the colors coming out of its chest. This Universe, you guys, and the beings in it—are phenomenal. Magical. They’ll take your breath away. I love days where I can paint! i just finished up another person’s angel portrait today and it’s on the drying rack! Another is almost dry, ready to get sealed, wire strung, and packaged for shipping. Phase one of my gorgeous new work of art, on my arm, thanks to the phenomenally talented @aprildawn.tattoo , who beyond rose to the occasion to create this flowing, intricate tiny detailed work. This body art is a totem piece for me, about what it is to be a translator for angels, spirits, elementals and OffWorlders, to human beings. The origins of life, in DNA, expanding into the elemental kingdom and animals living upon the earth (brilliant reproductions of images on the pictograph caves outside of Billings, MT—one of my most special holy places), branching into cuneiform from 600 B.C. Sumeria (which means “the mouth between the earth and the sky”), into the stars with into the Drake equation (the physics equation to explains life on other planets), and up to the heavens to a glorious Angel wing riddled with the universal binary language, since Angels are either on-or-not-on / “black and white” about any concept.
