I'm an IB full diploma student who is taking IB Math Studies SL, and for my Internal Assessment I'm doing it on whether management positions are independent of gender. In my data for my simple processes, it shows that there is a gender bias in that men seem to have more positions in management than women, but my Chi-Squared test states that they are independent. How do I explain that? I'm rlly confused bc i dont understand why it is independent if there is a bias.

I am much less familiar with critical works exploring LOTR. You could try @askmiddlearth, who has a tag for #sex and gender. OnceĀ @mahidevrans kindly supplied me with some pertinent LOTR info, so they might be another person to ask about women in LOTR. Perhaps other people could reblog with recommendations on this topic?
Where can I find academic articles based on a song of ice and fire? I've checked google scholar and jostor but i'm not so sure i can use those because I'm not positive they are from professors with degrees.
There isnāt a single website or resource I can point you toward and be like, āHereās all the good peer-reviewed articles on ASOIAF.ā And itās hard to recommend academic articles without knowing the specific topic or purpose of your research. Are you writing about the economic impact of Robertās Rebellion and how it parallels the English economy during the Middle Ages? Or are you exploring the question of whether ASOIAF better mirrors medieval Europe or 20th century America? Or are you more interested in character analysis? These are all very different research topics. Whatever your topic, the articles you find through google scholar and @jstorās search engine are all considered scholarly literature,Ā written by people in academia about all sorts of ASOIAF minutia.Ā
But anyways I like making lists so below are some published academic books and journals on ASOIAF on a wide range of topics. Most of them are essay anthologies. (Note that Game of ThronesĀ and A Song of Ice and FireĀ are often used synonymously in many of these works, even when the author is focusing on the books.)Ā

@madeinmyr is run by a group of professors and they do excellent analysis.Ā
If I was researching something related to what people like @poorquentyn or @nobodysuspectsthebutterfly talk about, honestly I would quote their blog post in my paper, theyāre amazing, they write better stuff than some of the anthologies I listed above. You might contact these bloggers and ask them if they felt comfortable sharing their contact info/official affiliations with you for the purposes of your research.Ā
I follow other bloggers who are also professors, but I donāt think theyāre comfortable revealing their RL identities on tumblr, so idk, if anybody reading this is a professor with an academic article on ASOIAF and youāre comfortable sharing, maybe reply to this post? (Iām greedy for articles on ASOIAF, plz link me to your articles.)

I"m doing the full IB Program and I'm taking Math Studies SL, Bio HL, English HL, HOTA HL, Spanish SL, Pysch SL and TOK. If I'm bringing a laptop to school, what classes would you recommend using the laptop for, excluding math and spanish?
At my school we use computers for everything pretty much. It depends on the kind of notes youāll be taking and whether there are any programs your teacher wants you to use. I recommend you bring it all classes for the first few weeks and youāll probably figure out yourself where itās helpful and where itās unnecessary.
