So one thing I don't understand is why people use the word "retarded" when they mean something is stupid. Firstly, it's insulting to anyone who suffers from mental retardation. But secondly the actual definition of the word retard is:" to make slow; delay the development or progress of; hinder or impede." Not one of those phrases I would consider synonymous with "stupid".
In other words, our nation's progress has become so retarded by the misuse of the word "retard" that we can not progress until we address this issue.
Guys, you have no idea how badly I wish I could go to OMGcon this year. I mean, I haven't been to it in like 3 years and I'm not sure what it is about this one but it really looks amazing. There are so many amazing panels and it looks so cool and I wish I could go but there's so many roadblocks. Firstly it's on Father's Day weekend which was the main reason my friends didn't want to go. Then it's the weekend before my sister's birthday and I don't want to miss that. And now it's way too close to see if any of my friends can get off work to go with me. So for you those of you that go can you please take lots and lots of pictures and post them on this tag so I can see all the fun I'm missing out on?
Well my 13 hour writing session turned into a 7 hour writing session but at least I'm well rested and I think I may have written some of my best essays so far. (Side Note: Only I would undertake a 10 page paper about Jesus as a tragic hero and a 4 page paper comparing Percy Jackson to Harley Quinn)
