“  act?  ”  even  still,  there  was  a  slight  smile  on  your  face,  a  bit  of  fang  and  a  bit  of  overbite.  “  i’m  surprised  you  could  tell.  you  usually  don’t  question  a  lot.  am  i  special?  ”  you  knew  he  had  his  suspicions,  but  in  your  thoughts,  he  wouldn’t  come  to  question  or  press  you  for  whatever  it  is  you  were  withholding.  after  all,  it  wasn’t  pertinent  to  the  mission  at  hand  in  the  slightest.  he’d  still  stay  sleeping,  and  perhaps  you’d  make  it  out  alright  too.

“believe me, i don’t like it either.” her voice, melodic and innocent, doesn’t match the rancour that drips from the sound. she hoists her baseball bat over her shoulder — pure-white, of course — and glances at the other with narrowed eyes. the batter wants to end the world. if anything, they should be allies. q84 should want nothing more than the destruction of this entire place. this miserable, awful place that lilian holds so dear...

...but that’s just it, isn’t it? the very thing that makes unit q84 so ugly and stained in miserable colour. it’s the knowledge that she’s god’s favourite, that god loves this pitiful little world and weeps over every lost soul in it. she shouldn’t want that to continue. she doesn’t. but some stupid part of her keeps thinking... if the house crumbles, it’s going to be my fault... or hers.

...ah. having someone like the batter in her mental space definitely has its... ups and downs, lilian could say. at least in this form, she appears much more pure-white than she would in her human form, one she hasn’t been able to wear for longer than she cares to consider. with her hair so light, she doesn’t seem as dipped in ink as she is. perhaps that’s why the batter has stopped to try to listen to her... or perhaps it’s simply because she’s introduced herself as the god of this world, and he’s trying to figure out whether or not to kill her.

CAPTAIN!!!!! don’t think you can get away with not getting a little bit of positivity in return for this. first of all, the fact that you write off muses is just an instant win in my books. and you write them so well too!! insane! on top of that, like... the fact that you just. read the long walk and mused like all my favourite characters? that’s insane and i’m so happy about it. tlw is probably one of my favourite books ever and it just makes me so happy that you got into an interest of mine literally just because i was interested in it! even though wifi and streaming is our enemy, it still was really fun watching the first season of etn with you and it sucks that we haven’t been talking as much recently, cause you’re fun to talk to! i do hope that things have been going okay for you and that life isn’t getting you down. of course, my dms are always open to you and i can’t wait to write more with you as always!
