Kinkajou x Moon x Anemone x Tamarin polycule

OKAY IM HEARING YOU OUT forgive my yapfest i care very deeply about all four of those characters

First of all the ages ARE a little wonky but with wof ages I usually think about Tui’s intentions and the characters’ maturity in general (unless it’s like Peril or Umber x the jade winglet since they’re adults and twice everyone else’s ages) but because trying to fit the canon ages into anything cohesive is not for the weak. Anemone is canonically dating Tamarin who’s somewhat implied to be close to Kinkajou and Moon’s age so it seems Tui sees them as being in the same age group now. Its iffy depending on how you look at it but not creepy or weird imo

Im gonna save my analysis on Moonjou and Anemarin for another post since I’ve thought about them A LOT more than the others but my general thoughts are YES!!!!! YEEEEEES!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤩

Kinkajou and Anemone hate each other’s guts already so how hard would it be to make them gay. Ofc Kinkajou’s hatred mostly comes from the Turtle love spell but fuck that plotline so imagine if Anemone actually rubbed Kinkajou the wrong way from the very start because her apathetic and selfish attitude reminded Kinkajou of the RainWings’ indifference towards the safety of their peers? That could probably spin into a connection between them with the similarities and contrasts of Anemone’s upbringing

Moon and Anemone could definitely bond over having to hide their powers and also social isolation in their early childhoods, and their completely opposite outlooks on both those things could be an interesting contrast as well.

I don’t have a lot of thoughts on Moon and Tamarin together but they’re both quiet and they have cute interactions in book six I can see it. I think moon would be interested in flowers too

Tamarin and Kinkajou I definitely hc as having more of a sisterly relationship sorry 😞 but I rlly love their dynamic in general. They’re two of the only RainWings that actually saw the issues in the rainforest culture with both of their struggles to easily fit into the system and Tamarin was presumably Kinkajou’s only real friend in the rainforest which probably adds more tension between Kinkajou and Anemone and AAAGH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
