I simultaneously love the new aoex chapter and feel a little let down. It had emotional catharsis that's been years in the making, Yukio finally crying for the first time outside of flashbacks, Rin finally understanding his twin, and the beginnings of reconciliation, all great things. Otoh, I was hoping for more insight into how Yukio's feelings towards Shirou factor into his current emotional state. What about you? Any favorite part or insight from this chapter?
Well, I gotta say I loved that Rinβs hair is back to being black (in the previous chapter), because it made it harder to decipher which twin was which, which in my opinion is pretty fitting with the fact that...
...they can undersand each other just fine if they just happen to pour their heart out to each other. :3
Very emotional chapter on every account but also...
...this may be because Iβm not 16 years old anymore, but damn Yukio, YOU GUYS ARE KIDS. So cry, throw a tantrum, idgaf, but just please feel alive, bby.
Nah, I loved the chapter, way more than last month which I found hard to swallow as I explained back then. However, this time, the fact that Yukio asked Rin if he should keep on living was beautiful, because it actually showed Yukio relying on Rin and trusting his answer when Rin told him that he should, because Rin himself is only strong if he has Yukio.Β
Additionally, it was also further illustrated by Yukio letting go of his guns to catch Rinβs arm as he almost fell through the sky, which made me very emotional, because it reaffirmed that their bond between brothers will always save the day (very important when AnE is super family-oriented in its themes). ^3^
TBH, reading this chapter, I kept thinking about Yuri who never saw them grow up and how proud she would have been of both of them at this moment. That bastard Satan didnβt win: the boys are still a family and this is a great Christmas gift.
I have no idea whatβs going to happen immediately next, but I enjoy kindaΒ βstewingβ in the aftermath of such an emotional chapter and I donβt really care if this chapter wasΒ βclichΓ©β for some fans. As many popular series made the mistake and ruined their ending (*cough*GoT*cough*), it turns out that obvious expectancy is sometimes necessary to be fantastic writing.
As for Yukioβs βissuesβ that he claimed to have about Shiro, well, as he admitted in the chapter (and as it often happens in inferiority complex and depression), there were justΒ βexcusesβ amongst others that his brain came up with to hide the fact that he was scared and angry at himself. Makes sense, especially since Shiro died and left them both alone, without any protection against Mephisto or the Order.
TL;DR Kato-sensei did it again! Way to conclude 2020 as far as AnE is concerned. Iβm very happy. :))
Have a great day ahead Anon! :3Β
Hello Anon! And yeah, I agree about the hype from these additional pages!Β
I mean, the latest chapter was something we all expected to happen at some point in the near future, so this is 1) less surprising and 2), indeed, less ominous than Shiemi being used by the Uzai family in some dire circumstances. x)
Besides, Sensei once said that the current arc with the conflict between the twins was not the final arc, which means there are still some story bits left for us to read about, implying we are going soon to focus on Shiemiβs predicament, once the twins are back home together.Β
Thatβs why new content about Shiemi and what sheβs going through is always interesting to find out. If Sensei kept Shiemi for the big ending (or, at least, for after the twins are done fighting each other), it might be because whatβs awaiting her is incredibly frightening.
I shall also mention that Iβm still vouching for myΒ βbig badβ!Mephisto theory [x][x], considering that the door Shiemi went through is his creation. -_- Still waiting on him getting punched and stabbed by Shura, whenever sheβs ready. xD
Anyway, I hope weβll see more of Shiemi soon...
...Good luck until then, bby girl. :3
Thanks for passing by and have a nice day Anon!
