ej · preference for someone older. he wants his significant other to take care of him and baby him. he’s gentle yet clueless, he needs someone who is nurturing to guide him in the relationship. he isn’t necessarily against someone younger, but it’s hard to find a relationship with someone younger that can fulfill his needs.
yuma · someone older 100%. he wants to be babied and taken care of 24/7, whining and crying when his needs aren’t met. opposites attract— he wants someone who can tolerate the polar opposite of themself— him. he wants them to be madly in love with him, but more refined, quiet, calm, less talkative, and shy. he wants attention, a lot of it, and someone older seems to meet those needs.
fuma · preference for someone older. he wants to bug his significant other about all of his interests, he wants it to be received / acknowledged well. someone mature and sexy compared to his nerdy side. a dynamic where the shared living space would look like a mess of his nerdy interests with sleek black furniture.

nicholas · preference for someone younger. i feel he’d prefer his significant other to be slightly cold and pushy at first, finding a significant meaning in building a deep connection over time. i’m not sure exactly why he gives a “preference for someone younger”, but it feels right.
jo · someone younger. similar with maki, he wants someone shorter or smaller than him that he can tower over. he finds it adorable if his chin reaches his significant other's head, the “perfect place to rest”. he lives a quiet life— but finds that he prefers someone who can push him out of his shell and comfort zone most days, while still being respectful about his boundaries. he wants someone he can grow old with, live in a peaceful town detached from the rest of the world.
