Hate how many system comic creators started because they know someone who is a system and then when they show even a slight bit of anything that could be interpreted as "plural" endos jump on them and convince them that they're plural, regardless of how many people they've definitely hurt by forcing these discoveries and/or forcing people to believe that they are something they aren't, which incredibly ruins their mental health. The plural community, at its core, has a complete, uneducated, misunderstanding of what an alter is.
They think that the term and concept can be separated from CDDs because they wholeheartedly believe that alter is just "someone else in your head". I don't think I have to explain how that's extremely watered down and ableist.
In refusing to understand how CDDs work, how they form, and how alters come to be in the first place they water down alters to just a "buddy in your head", rather than a severe response to severe trauma.
Their community time and time again, refuses to listen to those with CDDs around them that call them out of their ableist logics and behaviors. They refuse to see how the very core of their beliefs are born from pure ableism. And in doing so, they are a community that isn't safe for any trauma survivors, let alone anyone with a CDD.
It's incredibly disappointing that even when you argue with polite and nice endos and pro endos, who actually listen to what you have to say, they still aren't actually taking in the information you're giving them. They still aren't actually listening to the disordered person telling them how the community they're in is unsafe and ableist, because they see endos as "friendlier". Because they don't see the ableism, because they don't have our fucking disorder.
dawg as an anti endo system with multiple physical disabilities, if youre pro endo im not ever going to feel safe around you as a disabled person. how am i supposed to trust youre not going to start trying to "demedicalize" my other disabilities or disorders next? how am i supposed to trust that youre not going to create a whole new definition for another disability? how am i to know youre not going to come after another space thats supposed to be safe for people suffering with these things. how am i to know that youre not going to do the same shit with c/ptsd next. how am i to know youre not gonna pull some of this shit with autism or pull some radqueer bullshit for arthritis or POTS. how am i to know that this whole ass community whose history is deeply rooted in ableism (and racism) is going to be a safe space for us, as a poc physically disabled person!
