David "Davey" Jacobs, one of my favorite characters.
I love him because of his character development and how he grows and falls short in the story. I love how he's one of the characters that join the newsie family.
I love him because I connect with him. I connect with things that happen throughout the plot, with some actor's interpretation of him, with some things that the fandom gives him. I can connect and relate so much.
And the parts that I don't connect or relate to, I still love because it makes a character real. And it's nice to see what little things people can give a character to make them something big. It's something that I really like about art and other stuff overall/in general. In life.
Sometimes I feel annoying or worry I sound obsessive when I think about how I love Davey, but he's one of my favorite characters in Newsies and I just wanted to yap about this.
